Warm reminder 民生學生不能參加小一學位派位

Just a reminder.  If you got a seat in MS, you cannot join the 小一派位.  我都是在k2 才知.  But if you just like to study 民小, please ignore this.

If you like to choose the government subvented primary school, like 呂小, you should not choose MS.  

One more, since there is more seats for K1 (more additonal class from last year) , I believe, the % for students from Kindergarten to Primary school will be lesser (less than 60%).  Besides, most of my friends who studied KV could find a good primary school as that school is very good in both Eng and Chi.  KV will force the students to study a lot of Chinese and Eng vocab.

Anyway, it's up to you.

One more thing, as my daughter is studying in MS Kindergarten, if you like your children have a better academic result, you should go to KV if you got the result of KV.  I believe that the level of MS K2 is equal to K1 of KV (so I will not let my youngest daughter to this school again. I am afraid that she will be very hard working in P1).  This year, teacher of MS kindergarten is very young (you can go to the school to have a look). I don't like it. I dont' think that they can provide good teaching to my youngest child.

My youngest child is listed on waiting list of KV this year,  I really hope that she can be accepted otherwise, I will study SJC instead (lucky, i was accepted by SJC).

actuallly, if you were the graduate of MS kindergarten, you don't have power (academic standard) to apply other private school.  Besides, since you can't join the scheme of lucky draw of P1.  So you have to study MS Primary school.  But for me, I prefer to let my youngest child to have a good academic background.  so as mentioned, at this moment, i will let my child to study SJC (this school will study P1 books in K3 and their english is very very very good.  in fact, i like KV the best).

Anyway, again, it's up to parents.  Good luck.  Let's share later.  I am so sleepy.

what if they don't accept my kid to MS primary and can't lucky draw? What should my kid do?

I don't know.  Last year,  if the teacher knew that you were not allowed or likely not allowed (just two or three before ), they would ask you to join the lucky draw scheme from gov when u  were K2 or ask you to apply other private school.

As to the lucky draw, any student of MS can join the scheme. But MS will not give you offer if MS receive the application record from education bureum (ED will send the list of student records who have joined the scheme toMS)

如果學校唔收，當然可以參加大抽奬啦。其实私學如高主教和救恩，小學收了你，都不可以參加大抽奬。
只有真光是100%收幼稚園學生和可以俾你參加大抽奬。

考小一是另一戰場，就算讀KV亦可能考或抽唔到好學校，民幼可以作為backup.

從民生討論區，有些舊生家長說幼稚園學生是可以參加自行派位，只不過不可以參加統一派位(大抽獎)。正確嗎？

如果正確的話，有分的家長就不用擔心，而所有人亦可以出去考直資私小。另外，大抽獎後仍可嘗試叩門官津校...

出名d既幼稚園可其多：KV, SC, CCKG, SKH, Victoria...  每年出幾多畢業生？而最TOP既名小(直資私校，要自己考既)可以收到幾多？考唔到最TOP既有咩選擇呢？

樓主有小朋友讀民幼，但係都贊成其他人揀其他幼稚園，可否再多D分享民生的不足處？謝謝！

I totally vote KV.  Many professional are graduated from KV. You don't need to worry about your kids ...

多謝樓主的溫馨提示，不過在這個時候(剛出K1結果，有人等waiting)出這個帖，可能容易令人誤會樓主用意。不過我相信樓主都是有心提醒的，再次多謝！

我有民生的offer，之前覺得有龍校的offer好開心，但上來睇完的comments 之後有好多顧慮，好似唔係想像中好，有的想放個offer 添

I think for those who choose KV, they will go to 考 instead of 抽好學校!
