睇番高幼既舊post,你已唔係第一個為高幼而放棄st cat & KV既家長，請問你小朋友現讀高幼各方面如何？仍然覺得揀高幼放棄名幼這選擇正確嗎？你的資訊給我們很大的參考價值，因我們正遇上你去年的選校問題，謝！

I was prepared to send my son to RC but now I am a bit hesitated as I don't know whether it's curriculum is unreasonably harsh. In particular, I am not certain whether it is a good thing to ask kids to write in K1. Your experience would really be valuable.

I will move to Hunghom next year. Is there any school bus / nanny car in that area ?

其實我都好少再表達高幼意見, 不過見妳好有心讀高幼, 可以再share 一吓, 高幼只不過一間平實低調但對學習有要求的地方, 佢無嗰D日日比人搬到上天的學校嗰D四文三語, 又無提whatsapp隨時同老師聯絡, 又無提甚麼蒙特利疏教學, 又無甚麼音樂訓練, 又無介紹你參加比賽, 如果你係嗰D茶就不要讀高幼啦...有樓主甚至話如果將來入唔到高小, 起不是浪費三年 ? 真不明白究竟家長怎樣看待高幼。如果唔喜歡辦學團體教育理念, 讀高幼只為高小, 亦真係諗清楚先, 三年不是小時間。

係呀高幼K1而家已經開始用三角筆學寫字, 我小朋友就好OK, 好enjoy漆, 但我朋友小朋友讀另一班, 佢話剩係每日劃線佢小朋友都已經頂唔順, 家長亦辛苦。, 而家學校老師仲開始玩記性, 即刻意唔寫低紙條, 口術叫小朋友明天帶甚麼來, 睇吓係專唔專心聽老師講野, 呢樣野反而就考起我小朋友, 我估學校喜歡能坐定小朋友。而且星期五早上有集體早操(好得意)同宗教活動, 亦很合適有宗教背景小朋友。

上次和呢位朋友講開, 佢話老師一早同佢說佢小朋友其實未去到佢地level, 不過亦讚佢有進步, 佢覺得好欣慰係老師仍對他不棄, 不似有D學校如果小朋友未達表會比面色家長睇。

Thanks for sharing your experience. Much appreciated.

While I believe that language skills are important, I don't think it is the most important thing for kinder kids to learn in kindergarten. "平實低調但對學習有要求" is exactly what I want.

The only thing that concern me is about writting because I always heard people saying that the small muscles of kids under 4 are not well developed and should not be doing activities like writting. That's why I am uncertain.

Is there a lot of writting homework? Or is it actually not a lot and very simple?

I didn't see Hunghom on their school bus list which was distributed on the interview day!

For the writing part, I don't think it is too difficult.  For K2, I think at this moment, RC is of the similar level as some other famous kindergartens.  (But of course more difficult than many 學劵幼稚園）

Yes. indeed, I have contacted RC and they confirmed that west kowloon and east kowloon route will be available in the coming school year. May be, we need to organise nanny car service for those kids live in Hunghom or Homantin area................

What about dictation? I hope this is not part of the routine.....

Just read from other threads and it seems that the words for recognization in other kindergartens are equally difficult.  I think nowadays it is reasonable to expect to work hard in any decent kindergartens.  I am prepared to wrok on it.  I just don't want there to be too much writting and dictation in K1.

Sorry for posting so many questions. I really like RC and just to want to know more.

因新校好多事未實

但一個月後完全ok
再選擇一次 一定去高幼
