Then what's the point of trying ortho-k?
People use ortho-k to avoid wearing glasses or contact le ... Because the nightime lenses are more effective than daytime lenses in terms of controlling the growth of shortsight. When a child has grown to a certain age when he/she could handle the lenses (i.e. level of hygiene), and when shortsights' growth is less substantial, then switching to daytime lenses is an alternative to nightime lenses. Again this is just an option not a must, but in terms of hygiene, daytime ones are less harmful. This is what I understood from my optician and from what I have observed. |
