My daughter is one of the lucky ones who got accepted via "叩門". I don't know exactly what criteria the school are looking for, but I got the feeling that they would tend to pick those whose got an active / vibrant personality. My daughter is not very bright but she's always cheerful.
In terms of process, as we arrived, we were asked to wait at a common room to warm up the kid. The children are free to do a selection of things, including but not limited to: drawing, reading, puzzles, etc. I personally think it's a very good idea as this helped them to relax. We waited for a long time, so she had plenty to time to "play" which was good. The interview started with the child alone (with 2 teachers) for around 15 minutes, followed by parents (another 10 to 15 minutes). Questions were not very difficult and, to some extend, expected. I must admit that we were quite lucky to have come across the two teachers we had, as they had very nice personality. Very easy going and relax. So the whole conversation was just like chatting to a friend. |
