值唔值得為咗高主教而放棄自行及大抽獎

高主教是我第5心儀的小學, 好大機會會收, 但係就要放棄自行及大抽獎, 自行我有20分, 想楝St. Joseph, 呢間係我第2心儀的小學, 值唔值得為咗高主教而放棄楝St. Joseph的機會呢?

我聽過有人唔要YW去抽LS
但係高主教.... 值唔值就因人而異喇！

The chance of getting into St. Joseph with 20 marks is fair, coz they have lots of 25 marks and brothers who are studying in st Jo.

Is your 1st, 3rd and 4th 心儀 primary school are DSS/private?
You have to evaluate the chance of getting in those school as well. Also, if you are living in Wan Chai District, i think it's worth to try St joseph again in [size=1.2em]大抽獎. If not...Raimondi is more safe

Let's put 自行 aside...will you give up the lucky draw if you get admission from DBS and YW? If you are willing to give up, then same thing to Raimondi. If you get guarantee admission of Raimondi, i would rather take it first and then wait for SPCC/DBS/YW, at least it's the 5th choice.

There's no guarantee on St. Joseph..what if you fail, you won't be sure what are you going to get.  Again...if you are not living in Wan Chai district, the chance is quite slim.

(i understand St.Joseph is very attractive..but i would rather to have something acceptable than going into unknown.)

聖JOSEPH當然好過高主教，但20分未必一定入到聖JOSEPH。

有没有人听过不放棄私小，走去抽奖，最後真係比学校取消学位？

私小與直資不同，直資收生會取消自行收生及大抽獎資格。

If your son is the type who likes to win, like to compete, and can deal with homework and exam easily, then St Joseph is better. Their secondary result is way better than Raimondi.

Looking at your list of choices/preferences, I think you should be quite confident with your son, so I would suggest you give it a try for St. Joseph. There are 75 seats for lucky draw, not bad!! Many ppl in Wan Chai won't choose St. Joseph because it is too demanding...

如果係同自行差唔多，無嘢要放棄呀！

呢個問題我都諗咗好耐, 我估計係註冊時要求你在自行出結果前, 到果間學校去取消你個申請.

睇左你個 List

1st - SPCC
2nd - SJPS
3th - DBS
4th - YW
5th - Raimondi



邏輯上唔明, 何解"要放棄自行"階段? 你報高記，亦可同時用 20 分自行報 SJPS ，無問題喎。(唯一是當高記收你並註策後，你要跟高記指引放棄中央大抽獎啫)

coz the result of Raimondi will be announced on 19/11, before 自行 and also the registration date.
Once you have register with Raimondi, you can't go and register for 自行.
