東華三院吳祥川紀念中學 is not the best secondary school in Kwai Chung and Tsing Yi but I do think this school is getting better and better. And I would rate it as Band 1-C according to the teachers, facilities and the most important, the NEW Principal. And I would also treat it as an English medium instruction school (just the Mathematics is not teaching in English in S1 to S3, it really dosen't matter at all).
My child is now studying in it S1A (2014-2015 the best class).
I do feel the new principal, Ms Tang Wai Chun, Agnes 鄧蕙珍校長,
did a lot of changes in this school in the past 4 years after she arrived in 2010.
If you look at her opening speeches in the last 4 years in the school web pages, you will find there were some new teachers recruited each years over the last 4 years. Most of them are English teachers. They also provide 3 native English speaking teachers in the school in teaching World-Wild English . My child did tell me they have a lot of opportunity to speak in English.
If you look at their school web page and compare it to the other school web pages, you will feel this school is energetic, sincere and try the best to focus on student needs.
If your child is fall in Band 1 class and your family is living in Tsing Yi, 東華三院吳祥川紀念中學 is a good choice.
