中英文科得不到3級的話，基本上會一票否決，入不了任何大學。

中文科要咁好做乜？另類國民教育？

計我話，3222已經足夠，反而更有利於大學選拔遺珠，踢走符碌學生

其實以往高考中、英 E (即等於DSE 3) 都很難升大學，如果有一科 Credit 或許
有一些水泡科會入到。由於 DSE 考生多了，故今年好似很多考生是 2。

You are new in EK, it has a "Reading Camp" in EK, parents promote reading, but miss another equally important part of language proficiency - writing.

In EK, just talks read, read, read...... seldom talks about write, write, write...... Thanks for your reminder.

When my kids entered into Grade 7 of a local IS, the language teachers told us that it takes 5 years for the kids to master a language at the proficiency level. Although my kids came from local primary schools, the teachers assured us that they were not concerned about their then English level. The strategy used was "read" and "write".They were not concerned whether they could write something meaningful. All they wanted was the kids could express themselves in writing at the beginning. They knew that there should be a lot of grammatical mistakes, clumsy sentences, and structural problems

They asked the parents to keep hand off. So long as they children read the books and wrote the assignments, the parents should not bother about their marks or the contents written by them. The parents,should not proof-read their assignments. Let them turn in whatever they did. In that way, the teachers would know the progress of the children. They asked us to trust the school.

I did as advised by the languages and relied them to train the languages of my kids. In Grade 11, both of my kids took the IELTS (in different year). My son obtained a score of 8.5 and my daughter 8.0. My kids also secured scores in another public examination which are regarded as a pass in the old HKCEE Chinese language examination.

It reminds me the importance of "write, write and write" in addition to "read, read and read".

我其中一名學生，便就讀於那間IB成績極佳，但DSE中文肥1/3的老牌名男校，聽聞該校今年已開始力谷，但時間夠嗎？我不敢說。但也想盡法子，想入大學，中文一定不能只得3級！

睇返HKEAA新聞稿,有49%考到3 or above,其實已經係相當於3萬5千人,已經比以前高考合格人數多好多(高考全部考生都無3萬5...),.....................
個批5**尖子似乎真係過份輕敵啦...

講真...連中文都拎1既,你唔覺個學生有問題? 除非係屋企都係講英文

唔出奇!我教BAND3學校,中文OK,衰英文,佢地英文差係先天不足,後天也不努力。但知道有D BAND1中學,入學時中文英文的基礎都好好,但太著重英文,忽略了中文,中文無2等,連入讀副學士、文憑的機會都無,也直接影響入大學率,好可惜!佢地操得太少,老師也輕敵了!

副學士、文憑二級就得。

咁聖嘉勒St Clare 算唔錯, 英文小學及中學,但中文有67%取4級以上, 當然都係英文好d, 88% 取4級以上
