兒童在幼兒時同時接廣東話及英語會導致語言能力與單語(只學一種語言)兒童不同, 並容易被錯誤診斷為有語言障礙的兒童. 而且, 幼兒期的語言發展與日後的學業成績息息相關. 若你的小孩是家中接觸廣東話及英語(高達每天逾三小時), 又是二至六歲, 就有可能是這一類型的小孩了.

pls give more details, about the background of your study, your organisation and what you are going to do with the research data & results.  My baby is 1.8 yrs old, I find her having the duo-language problem too.

we are a group of undergraduates majoring in Speech and Hearing Science (Faculty of Education, HKU).

The current study is our thesis and we would like to investigate how bilingual children develop the sense of phonology (i.e. how to make up and break down sounds) and their pronunciation in both English and Chinese.

We would like to target bilingual (Cantonese and English only) children aged between 2 and 6.

Assessments will be free. We have our own clinic in the Prince of Philip Dental Hositpal (Sai Ying Pun), where the assessments will be carried out.
