Thanks so much!! I have called Scholl Bus and sure routine is ok for my son.  As same as you told, the operator will gather the information from parents in parents day.  She reminded me bring cheuqes to reserve the seat for my son.

Thanks for your valuable information.
To me, I prefer the more discipline life for children. The purpose for allowing my son to have boarding is to train him to be more independent. On the other hand, I am quite worried about his academic performance. At present stage,I need to supervise him sometimes so as to make sure his "test/ examination marks" can reach at certain level.
I hope he can manage himself!

My son also want to know is there any enough "musical instrument practising room"? Only for piano,or  any other instrument are prepared at school such as Jazz drum set?

There're several music rooms available for students, may be on first come first served basis.  They're always occupied.  You may consider learning muscial instruments at school so that your son can have more time to practise.  Boarders aren't allowed to play musical instruments inside the dormitory and the areas nearby.

Hopefully, the environment and support to boarders can be improved next year after my daughter and I have discussed the difficulties face to face with the Principal in details during the last Parents Day.  Let's wait and see then.

You're welcome.  BTW, make sure that your kid can go home on his / her own as the students cannot catch the school bus after school since they need to participate various kinds of ECA and pull-out / pull-up programmes usually.

Thanks for your remind!  My son is 巴士迷, I think it's ok for him!!

I worry the academic also, my son is studying Chinese primary school and need time to pick up!!  I want to find some materials let me prepare early!!

SSC has its own textbooks for Integrated Humanities and Intergrated Science.  IH is a little bit hard, but not as hard as English Literature.

English Literature? What's the name of the book?
For my old days, my lower form English Literature lessons read "Animal Farm", "Flowers for Mrs. Harries"!Ha Ha!

午膳有幾多時間，學生飯後，有冇活動呢？有冇地方做功課？

Yes, instrumental class exam. is music exam - an exam. of musical instrument.  Not necessarily follow the school calendar. My daughter took it already, rather than in late May.

Students can choose whatever kinds of muscial instruments, incl. Chinese ones.

Every S1 and S2 student (don't know S3 coz my daughter is S2 now) have to learn a kind of musical instrument, except piano.  It doesn't count as an ECA.  Every student has to participate not less than 1 but not more than 2 ECA during the same academic year.  Lunch break is about an hour but I don't think they can have much spare time to learn musical instrument esp. boarders.

For boarders, they usually do their homework in the dormitories rather than in the library.  One of the reasons is there are limited seats in the library, which are always occupied by higher form students and the library is closed after 5 pm.  Besides, boarders have to collect their clothes once / twice per week from the laundry.  For the basketball fields, students can use them freely as long as they're not used by the school teams.  For swimming pool, boarders' parents need to sign an authorization form permitting the boarders to use the pool during permitted sessions after school.

My daughter is now reading Oliva Twist.  Don't know other materials which she has learnt. But some are poems as far as I can "understand"...

You can consider allowing your kid to learn the musical instrument now.  If your kid wants to be taught by SSC's music teacher later on, he can join the classes at the beginning of the forthcoming academic year.  My daughter has been learning flute since S1 after she had quitted playing violin.  Now she's learning guitar too - just fof fun.
