我囝淨係去過這間學校, 他便說很喜歡!他同校有個好朋友也考上了, 兩個男孩子已約好一同寄宿!真期待中學生活!

You may obtain school bus information when you are ordering school uniform during the registration of S1 place in July.  Alternatively, you can call the School Office for assistance.  But the school bus operator wasn't helpful when I talked to them last year.

Can you give us any suggestions that we can prepare for our children for S.1? Both academic and psychological  aspects?

Many S1 kids are graduates of the SSC Prep. School.  If yours is a new comer (like my daughter), she has to make new friends.  This is particularly important if he / she is going to be a boarder.

Boarder's life can train your kid more disciplined and independent, at the expense of his / her academic result in many cases.  You may need to consider the arrangement if your kid has to attend private tuition classes after school.  The school teachers on duty during the two preparatory sessions (compulsory for S1 and S2 students) may not assist the students much.  The house rules are quite strict e.g. can only use mobile phones after school and before 6 pm; and from 9:30 pm to 10:00 pm ...  Your kid may have to learn how to maintain good relationships with his / her room-mates and hall mates.    S1 boarders need to do physical exercise twice a week in the early morning (6:30 am), even during winter.  And no heater is allowed in the bedrooms for safety sake.  Students have to join mandatory boarding programme during S1 and S3.  So your kid can try the boarding life and see whether he can adapt to.

The exam is quite demanding.  Hard working and self-learning are advantages.

No, only serve several places e.g. Pokfulam, North Point etc. on HK Island.  The routes may be re-arranged next year once the school operator has collected parents' information - whether your kid would take school bus or not.

Don't worry.  Many students live in NT.  Some even come from the mainland and Taiwan.

Missed one point.  Boarders have their own canteen cos. the fee includes meals.  They can't have lunch at another canteen / tuck shop or enjoy the takeaway fastfood.  But don't expect too much about the quality and tastes of the food.
