Yes, JD is a law degree for degree holder, it takes two years if studying full-time, and CU's JD has been recognized to apply for PCLL.

For CU, my son has received the school nominaion details for interview in Nov and been requested to fill in the preference of 2 faculties and each 2 programs for arrangement.
Is your daughter working on the same?
My son is interested in Law+BBA double degree & Risk Management.

LLB Double Degree Options is much better than LLB-JD.

As a student, you will not have to register for the double degree option until towards the end of your first year of studies....

前幾日阿女收到CU既email, 知道學校亦有refer咗佢比CU, 6/10前要選2個學院, 各選2個學科, 所以我又好忙碌咁問意見, UCAS都未填完, 阿女又忙到死, 想催佢又唔得, 我簡直覺得好有壓力.

我見GLOBAL BUSINESS, BBA-JD好似group under IBBA, 所以想問下係唔係, 但IBBA既DOUBLE DEGREE好似係同engineering一齊, 令我覺得好唔清楚.

【明報專訊】大學明年將正式實施四年制課程，取錄首屆新高中畢業生，本報今周起將陸續介紹各大專院校的四年制課程改革。科技大學是八大當中聯招學科改動最大的院校，協理副校長兼學務長譚嘉因透露，明年將全面改行學院統一收生，聯招課程由32個學科濃縮至4個，以往只收高考尖子的環球商業科等將納入商學院，入讀學生完成首年基本課程後成績達標，便可彈性決定主修課程。

譚嘉因表示，為協助高中生揀選合適主修，科大將舊制32個聯招課程，合併為4個聯招選擇，並加強輔導工作。首項工作是去信全港中學，邀請中學校長推薦對科大各學院感興趣的學生，在文憑試前參加由學院舉辦的活動和講座。

他解釋，新學制下學生人數由以往約3.5萬增加逾倍至7.7萬人，大學難以接觸全部有意入讀科大的學生，因此希望透過講座，增加大學和學生之間互相了解。計劃中的活動將分學院舉行，邀請不同中學生參加入學講座、參觀校園等，並會盡可能接待所有申請學生，但目前難以預計參加學生人數。......

JD is set as Postgrad so the fee is much more expensive.

My son is preparing for the HKUST Business School early admission interview on Oct 15.  
Now he needs to fill HKCU's form before Oct 6.  
But he is too busy with the tests ......
So I would like to ask some advice on picking up the programs in CU.

For HKU BBA(Law), will get BBA degree first then LLB degree.
For CU LLB double degree, will get LLB degree first then BBA degree.  Concern is CU Law is still new.  Anybody knows more?

HKU BBA(law) or CUHK LLB double degree ?

If your target is becoming a lawyer, then CUHK LLB double degree, otherwise HKU BBA(law).

I am not sure but seems HKU's BBA(law) is more expensive due to self-financing when studying LLB.

It is more flexible if studying CUHK LLB double degree.

CU's law is new but has very good reputation but HKU's law is still the best in HK. Therefore HKU's law is still the first choice.
