但因經濟能力有限, 只可負擔UK讀大學, 如在UK讀高中colleage再入U就很吃力.

想問多一些, 如囝囝考GCE-A level 的成績來報UK 大學係咪比用文憑試成績更易取錄?

GCE-A LEVEL 既認受性高o的, 文憑試對UK既大學黎講只有A/C/E 3個grade, 因為B當係C, D當係E, 數學只係半科, 除非你有讀M1/M2, 如果唔係你永遠攞唔到A. 而且文憑試係第一年考, 人地冇REFERENCE, 如果有得選擇, 大學都寧可考慮GCE A-LEVEL. 當然係咪易入o的都要視乎你既成績.

Exactly, the first few batches of HKDSE students may focus on local universities. For overseas universities, other exam boards may have better chance.

完全正確，首幾屆參與中學文憑試的學生可能要專注香港的大學。如果考慮海外大學，其他海外試會較有優勢。

According to HKEAA's information-
level 5* of HKDSE--btw UK AL grade A & grade A*
level 5 of HKDSE=UK AL grade A
level 4 of HKDSE=UK AL grade C
level 3 of HKDSE=UK AL grade E

Local universities seem to treat-
level 5* of HKDSE=grade A (5 admission scores)
level 5 of HKDSE=grade B (4 admission scores)
level 4 of HKDSE=grade C (3 admission scores)
level 3 of HKDSE=grade D (2 admission scores)
level 2 of HKDSE=grade E (1 admission score)

Khmama,

請問ust的工商管理商學院是否很難入？我去聽talk,英文至少要有B,中文也是！我兒子只在一般band one 學校讀書，成績一般是否無望？他是很想入ust的，但是否poly的nursing和放射學那些易入啲？他讀理科又有讀m1,他曾考toefl,有75分，學校逼他填廿個志願，我們正苦惱中，請賜教！

ust係選學院既, 得4個學院比你選, 商科學院肯定爭崩頭, 入到去讀完兩年先選科, 到時成績唔好分分鐘入唔到心儀科目. 呢個制度已經行緊, 跟據朋友囡囡講, 90%既人可以入到頭兩個志願既學科. 理工nursing同放射學上年最低收8.2分, 平均14.9分(所有科目總和, A=5,B=4,C=3,D=2,E=1, 如果係AS要乘0.6), 三大始終多人爭, 理大相對容易o的. 其實根據數據, 你頭6志願入唔到, 後面入到都唔會係你想讀既科.

Thank you khmama, 若我兒選頭三志願都是理工會否比較吃虧？因今年是頭一年dse,恐怕填錯了沒大學收，其實放榜后才知道成績為什麼要現在填呢？真不知選那一科，因考試分分鐘會失手，我兒更加是平時ok一到考試就緊張！請介紹一些科目, 我兒bio and chem 成績中上英文數學中等但中文比較差，他想讀商科，請幫幫手吧, 另外他有讀m1成績一般!

頭3志願屬第一組, 大學只知你報佢o個科係邊一組志願, 唔會知你將o個科放第幾, 好處係佢唔會因為知你唔排佢第一而將你放o係merit list既較後位置. 如果你報頭3個志願同一間學校, 就等於自己話比人聽你邊科排一二三, 實屬不智. 所以頭3志願你要選3間唔同學校,亦要根據成績去匹配學科, 唔可以太進取, 因為大學唔同升中, 一o的都唔係講運氣. 當然能入到興趣科目就最好. 遲o的我會根據上年既收生成績做番份表, 到時再share出黎. 依家你可以上jupas個網, 睇番3年制入u既統計先.

For university admission is more difficult to decide compared with secondary admission. Like we all need to consider the following variables:

1. Examination results - HKDSE, IGCSE, GCEAL, IB, HD, AD......
2. Choices and combination of subjects & streams
3. Career inspiration & experiences
4. Wider spectrum of ECA
5. Diversity of achievements
6. Recommendations & nomination
7. Interview performance
8. Places per program
9. School based admission - even you get in BBA in HKUST, you only get in Global business at Yr3.
10. Academic standard variance between HKDSE & HKALE
