Depends on which class you are in.  Last year KG1's sport class is on Friday while that of KG2 is on Thursday.

我係由一出世細細個報名排隊等interview, interview後就收左...你有無報名排隊, waiting list 近D 2年長左好多,可能是HK中學F5/F7會考轉左為F6就升大學有關, D家長可能對Local School 失左信心 。

Hi,
Interview分兩部份,一是家長同小朋友一齊圍住外國老師講故事,外國老師會有問題問下有關 故事的內容, 睇下每個小朋友D反應,同場也有2個老師幫手睇住記錄小朋友的情況。二是分組有2-3個小朋友對一個老師玩枱上的玩具,問下小朋友color,big/small, shape...等等simple 的問題,接著在旁的另一老師會問家長有關小朋友的事情,一般在家/在玩耍/在學習上的問題,全程當然是英文對話啦 !
希望你有心理準備,給小朋友上playgroup,比小朋友接觸多D人多D事物。

如果小朋友英文唔好
咁係唔係入到既機會唔大呀?
我小朋友會返local n1, weekend返playgroup, 但怕到時答唔到.....

其實我打算幫阿女報Victoria 同tutor time 既PN, 如果interview需要咁高既英文程度, 我諗緊係咪應該揀tutor time...... 因為我女係細女, victoria 細b 班只有Eng/Can, 無Eng/PTH

全程都是英文...應該要懂得用simple英文溝通才可以,單字也可以,總之是互動溝通到。

學校同我講話係"first come first serve", 我初頭仲以為係早報名就會收, 到之後知道要interview, 又以為有得in 多數都收, 點知原來個interview係咁嚴緊的.....

但去年開始改了
我都失左預算
想讀個間IS N班又搬左
以家只能俾亞女讀LOCAL N班+星期6英文PG

我小朋友應明年入學, 咁好快就要IN了,
以家國際學校真係好難入

Perhaps, I should apply more schools for my younger son as backup. I am thinking of Canadian IS but the tuition fee+capital levy is much higher than KCIS. Moreover, I am sure about the Mandarin standard (I know KCIS Chinese is very high). For your info, competition for entry to KCS (Local section) has intensified substantially. Last year, 2,000 applicants compete for 3XX spaces.

I actually has submitted application form for CDNIS for my girl for the school year of 2013.

But after knowing that many artists' children are attending this school (no offence) I have made up my mind not to let my girl study in this school..... It seems that most of the students in this schools come from rich family but we are just normal middle class family, I am afraid my girl will compare herself with her schoolmates and feel unhappy or she will "adopt" the living standard of her schoolmates.  I think children will learn/be affected by their peers.

So now my target is KCIS hehehehe

I heard that CDNIS provides Mandarin class every day.

The duration of exposure does not necessarily translate into the level of academic rigour. I am sure that some international schools also provide daily Chinese lessons, but you will be surprised that their standards differ vastly. Another thing is that I heard that the amount of homework in KCIS is one of the highest amongst international schools.

Dear All,

開左學喇...仔仔返學好開心...我問他鍾意返KCIS嗎 ? 他說鍾意,星期一又要返KCIS呀!

而家要開始習慣用handbook同班主任溝通, 我在1/9已寫了一些事情給班主任, 而她2/9時已在HANDBOOK回覆我,好有效率 !
