A very sensitive question wor!  I don't think many of them will disclose la!  But I can tell you me and my hubby are just 打工仔 lai gar jar!

I feel so, at least in my case + to certain extent.
1) My son said nothing in the interview but got accepted to am class.
2) My nephew answered all questions and only accepted to pm class.
3) My friend’s daughter answered all questions and even did a bit of dancing when she was asked to sing a song but is on waiting list only.
4) The daughter of another friend answered partially the questions and was out.

Guess parents' background:
1) U lecturer + Bank Manager
2) Housewife + Elect Engineer
3) Nurse + Merchandiser
4) Personal Assistant + Merchandiser

Education and perceived/generally agreed good "profession" did no harm. Provide the best education to your child (of course with balance of personality and phyisal development) will make his/her life easy in the future.

其實個人覺得, 家長的背景影響有幾大呢,當然個小朋友可能有多D的課外活動, 但對學校沒有什麼特別, 如果我俾錢出去, 學哂D樂器, 繒畫等等, 那麼我讀這幼稚園有什麼用呢??咁當然部分個人修養的問題, 就各有不同, 唉!!做父母真係壓力大, 連讀幼稚園都要被自己的背景影響到.

I just talked to my friend, her kid got accepted by Kent am class, her hushand is a blue-collar and they live in Tuen Mun. Although I did not apply to Kent, it seems that they don't just look at the family background(though it helps sometimes I guess), I don't think her daughter is the smart type too.

My life went through a 180 degree change after i gave birth to Travis 2.5 yrs ago. Since then, had been caught up for various issues/concerns relating to Travis.

You may say this is pressure but i guess this is part of being parent.  I made noise, felt depressed sometimes about being a "Si Lai" now but in tandam i also feel contended to see Travis growing healthily and happily day after day.

Looking back, if i have to choose again, i would chose to become a mother. Looking forward, i treasure the time i spent with the little one as he probably will have his circle in yrs.

學校係咪睇background收生我就唔清楚，但我覺得學校唔會收細仔law。我返開playgroup個度都有4個小朋友去in，2個10/02前出世收左，但2個11同12月出世都無收到（佢地家長講返話當時係識答所有問題及有唱歌）。

It's so unfair. My son is a Dec baby, luckily I did not apply to Kent, I hope St. Cat will take younger kid.

My son's interview with other kinder are all ok, got 2 acceptance already. But his play-group classmates(also nov and dec boys) still didn't get any offer after 3 round of interviews.

Don't get too upset.  There are many successful cases for accepting "small' kids.  I have 2 neighbours here, one Nov and one Dec girl.  Both got accepted by SC in the first round.  My son also has a playgroup friend (born in Dec 2001) who was admitted to AM session in SC.

Thanks for your encouragement, but I guess I am just too anxious to know the result from St. Cat.
Aren't we all except those lucky ones already got offers from Kent to fall back on.
