GCE AL is equivalent to HK AL. One can choose to use HKAL/HKDSE (thru JUPAS) or GCE (thru non-JUPAS) to apply local universities.
If one fails in any of the compulsory subjects in HKDSE, he/she can still use the GCE AL results to apply. Therefore I have such a plan. I know that one can only choose either JUPAS or non-JUPAS to apply local U and it is not possible to switch after knowing the results.
