I didn't follow M1 & M2 very closely and I just try to comment on your questions based on my previous info.

1.  Which one is more useful for future studies? (Assume not considering to be a mathematician, but in other scientific / financial studies.)

M1 Calculus + Statistics
M2 Calculus + Algebra
Both are useful. Personally, I will select M2.

2.  Which one requires less time?

All depends on your background, I guess M1 is easier than M2 from my science background.

3.  Which one is easier to get a high score?

I don't know. May be M1 is little bit easier to get higher score.

4.  Which one is more widely accepted as an entrance requirement by universities in HK/overseas? Or all universities see M1/M2 are the same?

You can check with all universitives in HK, they consider M1 and M2 are equivalent.

For overseas universities, I think the same as HK universities.

May be other parents or teachers share their views also.

我仔依家f2,  佢成績一向唔好
但對history & geog 興趣大
學校初中目前無呢d野讀
但佢自己唔知係邊樹識呢方面d野
所以我估高中都無比佢讀呢d科目

請問如果讀history & geog
大學有無野讀, 前面條路會有咩簡

我真係咩都唔識, 煩教教路
好讓我在今年預早同呀仔傾多d

Thanks a lot, ANChan59 and cow.  I think I'll encourage my son to choose M1 as it is easier to study and get higher score, and useful for future studies too.

如果想睇睇各大院校對文憑試要求，呢個表應該寫得清楚。大家只要耐心「碌」到0個間大學GE資料度，就可以睇到相關資料。大家亦可以睇到各大院校對M1/M2 嘅處理。

請問bio 是否很多essay要寫??

女仔讀physic較難????(因男仔理科轉數較高)


請不要見笑我的無知, 本人讀書不多,

As far as standards-referenced reporting is concerned, higher score does not necessarily mean higher grade. The cut scores required for reaching a specific level (i.e. Level 1 to 5) will be determined ...

In the past HKCEE & HKALE, the scores adjusted by curve for grading.

From my memory, HKDSE will be based on your score and equivalent to certain level. Am I correct or we are talking the same idea?

雖然都被歸類為「理科」但Physics同Bio對能力的要求係幾唔同。
我唔肯定你講轉數係指乜，但我覺得Physics需要良好抽象思維，見到條題目，你要心中有個畫面見到D野點擺，仲要係有時會不停地轉動。
Biology則有好多hard fact要 ...

各位家長好,我的女兒要選科,但佢又未決定大學想讀邊科!有考慮讀law, 但英文科好似要A, 佢話喜歡GEO,不愛chem,聽聞學校較多人選BAFS,但我就想佢讀理科多些,究竟揀邊3科好呢?係唔係唔好揀文理商各一科呢?佢文科分數好過理科,大概考80/200

我個仔退步佐好多, 本來 F. 2 全級頭 20 名, 咁我 F.3 cut 晒 d 補習, 冇理佢, 點知而家包尾 30 , 佢話唔係佢退步, 係人地進步, 1 分都爭好多名...我重來冇問過佢 d 功課, 因為我要返工, 而家我先開始驚, 佢其實想揀 phy, chem 同 econ. ..但我怕唔收佢 ~~

女兒打算高中時在 BAFS & GEOG 中選一科, 請問那科的出路比賽廣? 優劣點又有那些?

我亞囝想take Econ, Geog & Physics, 看來很奇怪, 提議仔如果讀physics, 不如考慮加科chem (i.e.組合科學), 他說對Bio & Chem　全無興趣

真不知以上的組合可行嗎？升學或就業前景好嗎？
