The range should be between $300 to $500, but my friend is lucky enough to have found a native teacher who only asked for HK$200/hour.

I think their rates depend on their experiences and skilsl.  I've come across one so-called native speaker, he was no preparation for the lessons even I sent him the messages that I expect my kids will take Cambridge exam in the coming mth.  Only read the story books, sang songs and free talk to your kids are no use for them.  You should guide them and check their progress continuously because some so-called native speakers are only for money.  They are no heart for your kids.   Pls take extra care especially when you find them via internet (e.g. BABYKINGDOM DISSUSSION AND REFERALS).
