Just got offer from SFA, but registered with EC already, really don't know how to make the right choice for my child...please comment ???

EC Vs SFA
Happy learning vs hard learning
cheaper school fee vs double of school fee
one MTR station travelling vs 50 mins school bus
lower academic level vs high level
new school vs established traditional school

如果純計學術, sfa會跑贏ec幾條街, 但如果你小朋友是適合活動式教學及唔喜歡谷的話, 咁就ec啱d.

hard learning 唔代表unhappy learning, 因有d小朋友喜歡學很深奧的東西的, 這樣才可滿足到佢地, 學淺的東西佢地會好唔開心和daydream架!

另外, 交通時間, 學費和新學校與傳統學校的比較亦是一些重要的考慮因素, 其實去得遠上學真的很辛苦的, 要很早起床, 不過如果可以控制小朋友早d瞓, 習慣左之後就會冇咁辛苦,而且最近有很多違規直資學校, 唔知有冇ec份, 及唔知會唔會影响佢嘅教育質數都要考慮得好清楚.

My latest thinking is as I now have SFA offer, may goto cancel the EC seat, and rejoin the luck draw in net 12 Wanchai (target St Joe/WahYan), if no luck then join SFA.

Is it possible to do that and how? Worth it?

If you kid has been catched up by SFA, he got such ability.

I think St Jo is similar to SFA

Wah Yan is good , highly recommend....

Up to now, there is no secondary school placement result from "EC" so that we don't know the performace of the student.

Try the hard one first, if you feel it's not suitable for your kid, then it's easier to go back to the easy one, but it's difficult the other way around. => St. Franceis first!

你講得好好, 但係又唔知點解咁多媽咪鐘意呢間學校, 包括我在內, 都想小朋友開心, 咁想佢咁辛苦。我好矛盾, 又要馬兒好, 又要馬兒唔食草。

Will you consider the school campus and facilitie of these two schools ? EC campus is new,  large and spacious. Primary school student is still young. They need space to run around and play. ^-^

Two different types of schools that cannot be compared.
If you kid is talented in academic aspects, such as maths and languages, then SFA may suit him. Otherwise, he may feel bored or less challenged
Some kids will benefit from a more relax environment and gradual development, some kids will benefit from "elite" education, all depends!!
