請大家比D意見, 我囡囡考到金巴倫 & Think. 邊間好D呀? 我住美孚的, Think 會近D, 但吾知派位好吾好? 金巴倫派位都幾好. 真係吾知點選好.

我仔都收到呢2間喎...不過sn係offer pm,think就am(因我apply中英班)
我會選think,我鐘意佢有英文班主任,我諗正常情況下,小朋友d英文會好d,而且地點較近,有小巴到,最緊係係sn唔知轉唔轉到am,因我想仔仔讀am,我可以親自接送(我下午返工)
我睇過think web有post佢地派位資料,但唔詳盡,你可以去睇下,click九龍塘分校,再click學校消息==>學校通告

SN一日有40mins英文堂,Think就有英文班主任,我諗接觸英文多d既會係Think
中文我唔知啦,但interview o個日參觀過,睇過佢地d書,除左中英數,仲有常識,我好記得教hk市花同區旗,仲同老公講咁細個就學呢d喇(其實可能間間都學呢d,只係我唔知)
同埋佢地k3係英普班,我最like呢點....
不如你問下你朋友,點解SN好d丫...

佢覺得think都係比較商業既學校...只是比york好少少...而sn啲老師真係好好喎.
不過think到k3係全英普班係我想要既!

我都係住美孚既, 有次係樓下同開個街坊mami傾計, 佢話佢個仔都係mei foo THINK讀. 我當時就問佢好唔好, 佢既comment係, 課程好, 不過d 老師就無咩愛心.
所以最後我都無幫個女補.
而我個女都收到sn既am offer, 當日去in既時候我就覺得d 老師好nice. 而so far睇返bk既comment, d mami對呢間學校既comment都唔錯.
我就留左位先,到時睇下仲有無更心儀既幼稚園收佢先再作決定

As a THINK parent (LC branch), I can't feel that THINK is a commercial school. May be different people have different "definition" on "commercial" la ...

After paying all misc. fee and school fee, there's not much that we need to pay -- only a VCD of the xmas party shot by professional photographer (optional and you can video tape it yourself on that day) + a class and individual protrait photo taken by professional photographer (again, this is optional, you will get a print out of the class photo on your portfolio at the end)  + $10 for buying "flowers" during the CNY flower market and also $20 for "yum cha" in a chinese restaurant of an outing (only this year in k2).

Therefore, I sometimes don;t know what is considered as "commercial" actually. But of course, whether you think paying this amount of school fee is worthwhile or not is another matter. And this depends very much on what you expect from the school.

My son is in K2 now, when he was in N1, I did try to enrol him to some famous K1 in Kln Tong and also some through train schools. At the end, I chose to let him stay and uptill now, I've no regret :) I actually love its language ennvironment and the creative activities. At first, I was afraid that it would be too "free"  for kids but now I find out that they do train students' discipline, in which I think it is a good thing.

He loves going to school a lot and he loves his teachers alot too :)

Different people have different focus when choosing a school. Simply find a school that fits your needs and more importantly, your kids' characters. :)

我個囡in Think 的時候, 老師叫佢疊積木, 於是佢就一個一個疊上去, 點知老師說: "乜剩係識疊高咋!" 其實當時我都有d驚牙! 點解佢會咁講. 個小朋友只得兩歲咋, 想佢點?

我個仔都要疊積木,都只係疊高咋....但in我地個miss好好人,我仔唔識講,佢係咁提水.....

咁....點樣冇愛心呀?可能我好彩,interview當日我見個個都好nice,sn的老師都係好nice,不過sn只收我pm,同埋較遠,而地點亦係我要考慮既因素,因我想自己接送,我下午要返工...

咁都ok,唔會成日叫我交錢就ok

I am so glad that my boy get a a.m. offer in Eng/ Put class. The interview conducted in Put, acutally my boy doesnot' know any Put, he speak cantonese and I will speak Eng to him, but he just ans me in Cantonese. The interview teacher, Putonghua teacher was very nice, I sometimes gave tips to my my what the teacher asked him.

As there are not much comment about the school (I choose Think in KLN Tong), I am actually a bit worried about the programe and the teacher qualification. And one very impt. thing, the school fee is out of my expectation:
School uniform (2 suites) $260
school bag $140
Book fees for 1st term $2722
School fee $4500 x 11 installation
is there a great increase in the fee, as I checked the website of school, for N1 & K1 should be $44000/ year, school fee for 2011-12 is $49500, 12.5 % increase. And the book fee is  expensive, $2722 for 1st term, unbeliveable, that means about $5500 for whole year. It is just kinder!!!! how come the books are much expensive than that in Secondary sch.
I think the sch fee will similar to that of Stafford after increase.

So I am still considering! :
I am worry the other mis fee will be huge too.
How do you think???

我覺得$2700 的書簿費好貴, 全年要$5400. 雖然D書係Think 自已做. 但真係好貴.

Think isn't that commerical in my mind.  They wouldn't force you to learn anything from the school ECA. We needn't pay anything other than the school fee and the misc fee.
And, most of the teachers are nice and caring. At least my daughter love all the teachers so far. They are willing to talk and discuss with us.

我去年有金巴倫, 約克和美孚朗思3個offers, 最後揀左朗思.  

金巴倫和朗思同樣係著重英文的幼稚園, 程度我覺得差唔多, 我去年亦有struggle邊間好.  美孚朗思k1每日都有40mins英文堂, 20mins 普通話, 而且設雙班主任制 (一中一英).  

和金巴倫最大的不同, 係美孚朗思k3只有普英班, 沒有廣東話.  如果你打算小一揀"普教中"的小學, 咁朗思可能適合D, 小朋友可以在k3有一年的適應期.  我自己就在k1-k2揀左粵英班 (這班每日有20mins普通話), 希望仔仔在頭兩年先講好母語, 以應付k3上學期進行的小學面試.  

另外, 大家成日以為THINK係純國際學校, 但我睇番小學派位 (學校網站有刊登), 大部份學生係考到直資和派去官校津校, 讀國際學校的反而佔少數.  

有些家長話書簿費貴, 但我仔仔讀左1年 (連埋n班), 學校無叫我地交其他雜費, 連每月的生日會和所有outings, 都唔駛額外俾錢.  我就寧願學校咁樣, 一次過收錢, 總好過分幾十次叫你俾, 等我容易D預算.

我個係細囝(10月), 妳個係大囝定細囝呀?

妳地平時有冇同囝囝/囡囡講英文呀, 我哋係屋企主要係講廣東話, 唔知會唔會比較難適應呢..
