我同意如果做Profile, 一定要有誠意. 但每個家長都會儘量把profile做到最好. Profile相對來說不夠客觀.

但學校成績表便不同了. 如KV有600個學生, KV ...

當年大女考四間私小, profile裡只有一張圖書館發出的兒童及青少年閱讀計劃證書, 證明她上一年內看了超過100本書.  除此以外, 別無任何證書或獎項.

最後四間小學都收. 現在小三了. 至於大抽獎... 佢無抽獎運的.

Just read the books to the children and then copy the name of the book to a register from the library.

I regularly remind her that she has finished certain number of books, she was making good progress and doing very good.

For my elder daughter, I ask her to write the name of the books to the register by herself.

謝謝妳的分享,我和仔仔個個星期都去圖書館借書睇,睇左成年都唔知道有呢樣野:( 岩岩打左去問,佢地話係由一年既7月1號開始計至明年的6月30號:( 咁我早前睇過既又唔可以計~算吧,還是同兒子參加下,等佢知道一年內睇了幾多本書都好,反正我從來都沒有計過.同時平日借書是用我的証,等我為佢開一張佢自己既証先:loveliness: 佢應該感覺幾開心~

Thanks for your sharing...My son will be 4 years old in coming Dec. I will start it with him at that time. No matter it is benefit to choosing school, but it is worth of reading and sharing with children.

I think choosing the suitable schools would be important. I looked for info from different aspect, such as the school website, BK, from friends, my students and so on. I also know exactly what I want to give my daughter and what she is good at. Then, we can "lock" the target.
I didn't apply for any traditional famous schools. First, it is uneasy and I know she might not like that kind of learning style.
I started reading books with her since she was a baby. Perhaps it makes her loving to read very much. She enjoys going to the library.
And, thanks god that she loves doing exercise books outside school very much. My relatives would buy some to her from other countries that attract her a lot. I will not tell her the answers if she doesn't know it. I want her to think and try by my guidance.
However, she doesn't learn much outside, just drawing or some summer courses as she requests. I prefer her to have a happy childhood other than learning tonz of things. Maybe that's why she is a happy girl. I think schools would prefer little miss sunshine more normally. While we needn't take her to learn so much on weekend, we are able take her out to explore.
before the interview, I just gave  enough mental preparation to her and told her that we were going to play in the schools only. We haven't joined any interview courses and I also didn't try to train her how to answer the questions. I want her to show herself.
Last but not the least, I think interview needs luck.
While you guys start preparing so soon, I believe your kids could go to the schools you want!! GOod luck!!

報到 . 06 Sept Male.  One research said there is more boys than girls in 2006.  I think training girls and boys are quite different.

我大仔出年都要參加依個遊戲
我依家已經好緊張.. 因為出年我大仔考小一
後年就到我細仔...唉.. 如果出年大仔考到好學校
細仔就唔駛咁煩... 但如果大仔考到直資, 對細老係咪
無咩著數?? 因好多直資就算有兄姊係到讀都未必
一定會收返細老/妹.... 所以好煩
如果我大仔順利入番佢依家讀緊既幼稚園之小學
(津校)細老就唔駛煩.... 但又擔心第一輪自行派唔到
要等大抽獎... 基於依個原因都會試考直資做個backup
另外. 唔知各位媽咪知唔知,如果接受了直資既offer
係咪連自行派位個到都會自動取消申請嫁喇??
總之......就好煩喇

阿仔0606, 中仔, 得15分, 都係會target 直資/私立, 對一D一級的小學只志在參與, 因為考到都知未必長遠可以 support 到做功課的壓力, 所以一直target 在新興的直資, 活動D好D
