陳守仁, 嘉道理 等小學

我想請教.

陳守仁前身為一所給南亞子弟唸書的學校, 所以英文為教學語言. 那麼, 有一些小學如嘉道理(如果我無記錯)都係咁. 點解陳守仁咁受歡迎, 而嘉道理好多家長都敬而遠之?

好簡單姐, 因為陳守仁已經成功"轉型"
學業谷得勁, 小朋友升中犀利, 語言能力強
即好似以前有d唔多掂既學校, 而家辦得好, 咪多人申請lor

嘉道理, 未上到位wor.......
(又好似香港咁多間津校, 夠大把廣東話教啦, 水準可以差好遠架嘛!)

TSL 係唔谷架! 比較其他傳統小學少功課, 有一位家長剛入去, 讀了半個月, 好唔慣甘少功課, 同家姐小一好唔同, E+好鬼"惊"!

我意思係教得深, 唔係多功課
朋友既朋友O係入面教, 有次被問到想插班應該點準備, 果位老師話"叫佢開始做深1,2年既練習啦"

Just like to fill you up with some background history of TSL. It's not just another "南亞子弟唸書的學校", as the previous school of TSL has long had a good academic tradition where students at primary school level would be taught Eng at secondary school level. So most of the studenst got into very good schools, like DGS, DBS, Wah Yan, Maryknoll, St Mary, etc. but since it was a ver small school (one 1 class in each grade), nobody really paid attention to it, until PLK takes over and expanded the scale of the school. However, many of the traditions from the previous school was kept and therefore the school is so successful now.

Btw, those 南亞子弟 studied in the previous school were mostly from wealthy families and many moved on to study in the US and Canada after primary school. So I suggest that we don't stereo type all the 南亞人士

you really know much about TSL. There're not so much people know about her history nowaday and that's why I chose TSL 7 yrs. before for my daughter^^.

Indeed very few people knows about the school's history, which result in a lot of misunderstanding of the school. It's actually a school with a long history and tradition(must be over 40 yrs) ... not a new school that becomes famous all of a sudden. Most of the old students there went in by referrals  instead of open application given the very few no. of seats. But the quality and background of those students were the same with those you'd find in DBS, DGS, etc ... but of course I'm talking about some 15 yrs ago ... before PLK.

TSL係好好彩.  由本來要殺校的...  現變成名校....

如果因英文關係報名的, 請留意, d學生同大部分老師的英文口音...

You are right, not quite sure about the TSL students as I haven't met many, but most teachers there are good at communicating in Eng which I'm actually quite impressed!!

又見到你啦, 大家又一次一起努力為小一再煩...時間真我太快了....

你講既嘉道理(EK)類型學校, 我個人估... 主要係tsl 既家長都係識英文 既南亞人士, 而唔駛$既EK 就有D 家長既背景唔太好, 佢地本身唔識英文, 所以孩子又初來HK, 根本追唔到成績

而我早2日親身去過EK ,同校長傾過, 又有睇佢地上課, 其實並不如外界想既差, 只係有D 唔太叻既學生, 又追不上程度而已,

我個人對EK 一D 都唔反感, 而且因為校長早幾年入去後, 一直都有改善... 書本用既都係不錯架... 英文都用MY PAL 比我印象, 真係不差.. 咁當然佢位於ZONE 12, 不是ZONE 12 家長既TEA 啦...

仲有英文老師.. 係白人來架.. 我都有同佢傾過... 好有愛心既...

我仔10分, 我放棄了ZONE 12既 名校啦... 因為根本無可能中既... 你又點...

係呀, 我今日先見到你的回應

我對南亞人仕ok架. 我只不過唔明點解大家對呢d學校態度咁唔同, 所以想了解. 明愛主張共融, 所以我成日接觸南亞小朋友的.

10分去邊都唔得, 所以就交番最近屋企又屬本區的唯一男仔學校.... 因為亞仔話要讀男仔學校喎. 明知10分一定唔得, 只係等大抽獎.
