想請教:升中面試班的問題

我朋友前排先打黎問使唔使參加呢d班, 學校有同社區中心等攪, $1000/10堂.....
我地同佢講唔使啦, 成千蚊, 報多兩間直資取經驗好過啦, 搵d生保人同佢扮面試下咪得囉.......搵多d心儀學校面試過程好過啦.....而且理論上學校會抽d時間教學生初步面試技巧.

我都打算報三間直資面下試,攞經驗,不過我成日覺得我個囡平時吱吱揸揸就叻,我自己私下同佢練習,發覺佢D用詞唔恰當,略嫌幼嫩,有咩方法可以係呢方面提昇呢?另外,我見有間叫御學軒,唔知有無人報過呢?有咩意見?我而加都15/16唔知報唔報面試班

My experience - practised with him and then invited some friends to interview him and DV the process. After the drill or practise, reviewed the video together and he knew his weaknesses. Without the DV, we may spend time to argue with him about those weaknesses as he may deny them.

For top notch secondary schools, we hired a native speaker to polish his English. The teacher recorded down his answers and told him how to speak just like natives. It worked.

Some top notch schools' questions are very challenging, no definite answer and he needed to think on his feet. eg. If you were the Chief Executive of HK, what policy you want to change? why?. For Chinese，你識唔識杏林子？將你所知講我聽？(幾日前杏林子身故)

別忘記這個12月的呈分試才是面試的入場劵，do the right thing right!

用詞幼嫩即是必須提昇英語能力，唔怕講錯，要多講敢講，睇明珠新聞，睇碟轉英文字幕，聽吓又跟住講吓，母語吱吱揸揸都係用得多練番嚟嘅嘛。

除了一些科學常識、奧數、讀書報告、朗讀等外，面試問題來來去去咪圍繞着個人、家庭、學校、社會...例如你鍾意乜嘢顏色？點解？爸爸幾時放工？你地一家人放假會做乜？點解有啲學校無規定要着校服？你自己想唔想着？你會教財爺點樣去幫那些低收入家庭的小朋友？處境問題：假設在一個地震災場，你希望做那個角色？醫生？消防員？遇難者家人？點解？家長得閒諗一個又同囡囡討論吓，幫助佢思考推理，引導佢去多關心，才是上策，上乜班物班咪只識得教人背答案，老實講，背答案面試老師一定睇得出，如果佢地咁都buy佢間學校都唔值得去讀。

如果參加直資面試的目標是準備下一個面試，我覺得萬一影響小朋友的自信便會得不償失，所以要小心選擇。

還有一點，面試老師可能會問小朋友，佢仲in咗邊間？邊間係首選？又或者會問家長同一問題，我個人一定會老實答。

你囡囡如果好似幅相咁cute，面試我諗都攞唔少印象分，祝佢好運啦！

The target school only shortlisted the candidiates based on the rank order list of the first exam at P5 T2. Some parents may miss out P5 T2 and more focus on P6 T1.

From my understanding, most target schools shortlist the candidates for interview for S1 Discretionary Places based on the rank order list of both the exams at P5 T2 and P6 T1.  

I think I'm too nosy because I remember Minijelly has ever mentioned about her daughter's marginal Band 1 case in P5. If true, they need to work more harder at P6 T1 to get an interview for sure.  Of course, still some DSS schools do not wait for P6 T1 ...

九龍城女校，雖然有附屬中學但都要面試，唔想她見校長時口啞啞，所以想操練吓她的口語。

我的小朋友今年升中一，係自行收生升上去的，也考過直資。其實每間學校的interview方法都唔同，有group discussion,有D係口試中、英、數加D 日常問題....。那些面試班反而覺得作用不大[我地冇報讀]，而且多數小學都會幫下佢地練習下[1-2次]or summarize一D大路問題list out比佢地自己reference or self practice.  不如你講你想interview邊間，睇下有冇家長可以分享下仲好啦！
