Frankly, DBS old boys will not have a problem with that at all!!!  They will be able to find the rationale/essence of such a request and work with it from there, they don't need to work by following detail specific instructions step by step (does it include report card, does it include id copy, what will happen if i have 11 pgs, how many points will they deduct per page, etc).

精要及簡單, they probably could end up with less pages than the requirement states, mission accomplished!

很同意，profile應該精簡，交得越厚不等於機會一定高一點，反而校長更有可能一眼也不看。

我製作的profile以簡約清楚為主，沒有釘裝，只用釘書機釘著左上角，比賽證書兩三張，推薦信兩三張，再加一個簡單但有條理，像履歷表的文字簡介 ...

I have no doubts about the superiority of DBS old boys to others.  BTW, I was just joking in the comment you quoted.

Maybe the headteacher just wanted to distract parents from their focus and see how many of them could find the rationale behind what she said or what the web site stated. haha

我都係用Excel之嘛。

篇幅限制緊d o既學校，我就連封面都唔擺，反正我個仔又唔係特別靚仔。

因為我小朋友比較靚仔, 所有有design 個好正的封面比佢
雖然都是用word 做, 不過我覺得我下年會接freelance

老婆完全估唔到我可以做到d 甘野出來

有一個最重要的point 是平時一定要影相
用手機都無所謂, 小朋友最開心的一刻真的不知幾時出來的
找有用的相我都用左幾日

我都有去聽家長簡介會, 當時也有大家的疑惑, 但我沒辦法, 因我囝囝的評估報告 K2 有 成 50 pages, 怎樣縮也不能達標, 最後我 on the top 交了 6 pages porforlio 同 k2 全部成績報告, 沒交 K 1的。


我個人認為, 父母盡了力, porforlio 怎樣也沒關係, 最重要是小孩友的做化! 校方不會因為 porforlio 的多少而錯過一些好孩子, right? 大家一齊努力啦!

我個仔間學校得一張成績表同埋2頁單面評估表咁大把咋~
個評估表仲要係一d好好好好皮毛既野, 只係比個老師剔佢係經常做到or偶然做到咁咋

你說的那個剔剔評估表兩個月就有一set, 一中一英好像5面 (total 20頁)
那個報告又圖又勞作又影相又有我做那份專題報告的分析 (佢有份幫剪貼, 自己在堂上講解再加一首歌仔要唱)
不過就是沒有班主任的全年評語...... 所以只收左d 獎同少量校內活動入portfolio

Not for my son's kindergarten.  3 pages per term, 2 terms per year.  The appraisal report grades different aspects of my son's performance - even the ability to hold a pencil properly.

The kindergarten gives us a "portfolio" of his work throughout the year at the end of each academic year, but it is definitely too detailed for interviewers to read through, so I did not include any part of it in the profile submitted to the primary schools.

Quality counts, not quantity.  :)

我都只係將k2部份report印出來, 但個staff都要我補晒k1同k2d 成績表, 我答超過20幾紙wor, 佢話得嫁啦.......

其實出世紕, 身份證同學校成績表應該唔計, 附加補充資料就限5限紙先合道理.

聽講佢地今年第一次咁樣限頁數，如果一早o係網頁或申請需知講清楚，就唔駛家長咁頭痕。

你講o既係有d名校已經採用o既篇幅限制，不過男拔係名校，佢地想點家長都無得坳。
