I did not check with the optometrist when my kid should stop wearing this type of cons, maybe during the next eye exam. You need to go to an optometrist for a consultation to see if your kid is suitable. The first year’s consultation fee in my case was very expensive ($15K) which included a pair of cons, a starter kit, unlimited exam on regular and irregular basis. It is preferable to have a pair of glasses for emergency use. We were also advised that we should change to a new pair every year which cost at $3,600. Other costs would be for daily care products.
