Do you know when should we hand in the P1 reading journal?

Connie is on sick leave today. Can I know what's a reading journal?

Hi Laputa,

It contains 10 reading reports. They need to read a book every week to complete this journal.

But I don't know when will they have the reading lesson in the class.

Will Connie go to school tomorrow? Remember to give her $10 to buy the traditional Chinese snacks tomorrow during recess. I think they will enjoy the riddle games.

As I know, the deadline of reading journal is Dec 13, 2010.

Dear Laputa,

When Bryan was studying in K1, he also did his homework very slowly and always ran away from his seat from time to time.  Then, his teacher gave me very effective advice to change this habit.

She asked me buy a small clock and put it in front of him of his desk.   Before he started one of his homework, I would set the time for him to finish it (Time must be set more than enough).  If he couldn't finish in time, I still kept it.  

When he brought the incompleted homework to school, he would have a pressure from his class and teacher.  From that day onwards, he automatically finish his all homeworks before the deadline I set.

That will let him sense that doing the homework is his responsibility also.  

It really work on Bryan, maybe you can try also.

Dear Tinkerbell,

Have you got any idea where the enrichment Maths and GS lessons will be held and how often?

It seems not too attractive to me if the location is too far away.

Thanks for the note. I missed it last night, so Connie went to school without money.  But I believe her friends and classmates will share the tasty food with her.

Dear Sharon,

Thanks a lot for your sharing.  Connie is ok with homework.  She said she writes slowly because she wants to write it neat and tidy.  So I think I will give her some time to adjust.

是啊!都是short sleeves dress. 因為browine 係冇long sleeves dress....so 好凍的時候, 我地會穿長袖底衫, 加browine's sweater.

Did everyone already brought  PTH "Chinese Made Easy For Kids Book 1"?

I remember that it is only for non-chinese students and so not applies to us.
We don't have subject "PTH".

The demand for homework is increasing. I really can't believe P.1 pupils can do the extended homework for Chinese (yesterday) by themselves.

Have you started doing the reading reports? I think 15 Chinese reports is not easy for us.

Maths. quiz today. Just don't know how many careless mistakes my daughter made.

Cannot agree with you more. . . Even the "An Article A day" is not very easy and I need to read to her.  We just finished 2 Eng and 1 Chi. . . need to do more this weekend.

For me, the reading journals are ok, but i found I have no more time to accompany Hazel for the Internet revision. The Chinese, PTH, Maths and reading have internet revision services, how can I finish all of them w/ hazel everyday (in addition, the internet services were always very slow during the after dinner time).

And for the HW, I think the quantity is ok la.

For the Maths quiz, Hazel told that they have to spell the numbers also which we didn't review that for her.
