Hello mar123, it is the inter-school swimming  championships.
this may be the last time you have sent out this message before, as there was no announcement in school, I did not make any feedback at that moment.
I found it in school website right today.

My son swims 4 hours everyweek with his schoolmate, I wish he could join the school team in the future.

You may check with the sport teacher to join the school team if your son is good in swimming. By the way, the training schedule is every Wednesdays and Fridays. The coach seems to be very good otherwise they will not get so good results in the competition.

According to the headmaster during the annual meeting of parent-teacher association, there will be cut to 4 classes in the  year 2011.

Can anyone  make comments if it is good to the students. Thanks!

hello mar123, I had already told my son to seek more information how to join school swimming team in Sept, but he had no motivation to do so. I think it take times for him to improve and be confident of himself. Anyway, thank you for your information!

I agree there are four classes F.1 students in the coming year, it is more better and effective to run a school as there are only band one students of same level .

I have attended the PTA meeting. The principle did not said that the school will cut 1 F.1 class. He just mentioned that he had received invitation from EB and he demonstrated what will happened if the school accepted the offer. He expressed that he will seek opinions from parents but the final decision will be on the board directors.

In my opinion, it is good to cut 1 F.1 class. The school is already intaking some band 2 students (around 1X% from last year info). If the school did not cut the F.1 class, there will be more and more band 2 or even band 3 students in the school.
Moreover, there are only 27 classrooms in the school. There will be totally 33 classes in the year 2011 (32 classes if 4 F.1 classes). As told by my son, even F.3 does not have a fixed classroom this year.

Hello, Nicholas mum, it is been long time not seeing you here.  As mentioned by the Principle, there will be at least a class of Band 2 students if they still take 5 classes. Therefore, the 校蓳會seems to adopt to cut 1 class.
By the way, I doubt there were more than 10% of band 2 students in SFXC last year because I heard that some band 1 students put SFXC in 2nd choice(2 years ago)  in 統一派位 could not get in. So, how the band 2 students can enter SFXC.

No idea how the band 2 student go into SFXC. Just heard from the vice-principle (principle now) last year in a chat after a gathering that 8X% of SFXC F.1 student(last year) were band 1 student.

The Vice Principal has just confirmed to take 4 classes of F1 students in coming year. I think it is good for the school but it is a bad news for those band 1 primary 6 students in TST and Mongkok because in the same Wah Yin will cut certain amount of  F1 students  as well.

Dear Nicholasmom,
As quoted by my son during the morning assembly, he was told by the Vice Principal in public the school is going to cut one class to 4 classes. May be my son was misunderstanding whether the school  is confirmed or not.Anyway, I think the school is going to cut no matter the comments by the parents.

I believe the Vice Principle is talking that the school is seeking the opinion from parents. However, I do agree that no matter the result is what else, the school already have their own decision.

I also support to cut to 4 classses as well since it is good for the to manage only band 1 students.

Depend on which position you stand for.

It will spend more resources to the current students. This is good news for our kids.

Most of boys are going to mature after 14 yrs old. May be they will reach the level after F.3. Cut the chance is unfair for them.
