In fact, my son was doing O.K. especially English
subject. Hopefully, he can get into EnglishD1 next term.

SFXC 的考試有點兒深或在短時間內回答這麼多問題，確實有點困難，因而導致一大堆人不合格，尢以語言科目為甚。我不知學校如何甄選留級者，但現時因應資助限制，一級五班制該留十名左右，標準以級名次依據，補考後仍處於最後十名，便需 repeat。(推測)
       聽講要求  repeat 是很困難，而且不容易，因納稅人為該生多支付一年費用。

The standard of SFXC is that you need over 50 marks in English, Chinese, Maths and an average mark of over 50 to promote. If you are F.4 or above, you also need 50 marks or above in LS. However, only about 60% of students can meet the above standard.

I have heard the vice principle talking about the arrangement for those students who did not meet the standard. After the examination, a meeting is called to determine the minimum marks (average marks) required to sit for the re-examination. If your average marks is under the minimum requirement, sorry, you have no chance. You have to repeat. The remaining students who did not meet the promotion standard will be required to re-sit the examination. They only need to re-sit the subject that they failed. However, if they failed on more than 2 subjects, they only need to re-sit for 2 subjects. The priority will be English, Maths, Chinese, LS, IS..... Not every subject is available for re-exam, e.g. RS and PTH do not have re-exam.

The papers for re-examination are much easier than the normal exam. if you got a pass in the re-examination, you can promote. If you failed in the re-examination, the form teacher will discuss with you to decide whether you should repeat or offer a conditional promote. As the number of repeaters is limited by the EBD to 2 per class. So if you have the chance for re-sitting the examination, most probably you can got promote or conditional promote unless you are particularly bad on either Eng, Maths or Chinese.

As heard. half of the F.7 students can enter either of the top 3 U in HK. The following is the official result from SFXC:

Do you think under the new education system there will be half of the students can enter HK 's universities.

Of course no la. Half of F.7 means around 40 students. For the NSS, there will be around 180 students in the F.6. I don't think 90 students can enter the University.

If you count the whole HK. only around 18% of students can enter the University.

Even though there will be less than 90 students can enter the top Universities of HK, I guess there will be at least 50-60 of them can be O.K. to enter since SFXC is a mid Band 1 school and the top 60 students should be doing well.

Before the NSS, each year there are around 5X SFXC students who can go into the local universities. I don't think SFXC will get any jetso after NSS. Don't be fooled by the percentage.  Don't count the percentage by using the number of F.7 students. You should use the number of F.1 students as base.

全校衹有 F.3 有精英班.
