返半日

曾遇過其他家長知道小女的學校(聖保祿天主教小學)是返半日，都會覺得奇怪起來，你們是否遭遇過？？？是否返半日和全日小學是有很大分別？？？

Quite true, there are not many half day schools left now.  However, these half day schools are usually popular schools and most of them are in Wanchai e.g. Wah Yan, St Joseph. Due to various reasons, the schools do not have enough rooms to accommodate students for whole day classes but due to their popularity, the Gov't can't force them to move to a remote district. These schools still have their bargaining powers.
Both whole/half day schools are having the same curriculum, the main difference is half day schools have Saturday morning classes which prevent you to schedule any ECA.

Is the 1/2 day saturday morning lesson held every week or every other week?

Roughly but not necessarily every other week - approx 12 Sat morning lessons from Sept to June.

Could you please tell me what's the school hours for am and pm class?  Want to get an idea to see if I would put her to nanny bus.

half day school is better than whole day.... you child can have more time for other activities like swimming piano, dancing, drawing, tutoring...etc.

yes these "popular" school has bargaining power, so the gov cannot force them to become whole day school

For afternoon class, what time usually the students could leave the school?  The official time is 5:50pm, but wonder if usually they will have to leave a little later, I need to plan after school activities for my daughter.  thanks
