I guess, the balance may be come from Hong Kong Academy IBDP (2004) and accumulation of error as some schools just quoted the estimation.

The rest will sit in IBDP in 2011, 2012, 2013.

Given that ESF is a non-selective school, I think its result is pretty impressive.

(My kids are not in ESF)

If your daughter got the offer, just take it. LPC will offer scholarship, you can double check at the website, the scholarship quite generous.

only few applicants get full scholarships, i know a friend's daughter who lives in Tin Shui Wai and she was just testing her ability but not really going. However, LPC accepted her and offered full scholarship. Their family situation is quite tough though. My family is not very rich but not considered as 'poor', thus only $1000 is offered for scholarship...comparing to the $200000 for the first year and $206000 for second year...

Even not full scholarship, I know many students got 50%...... If finance is an issue, you can check the amount of remission before make up your own decision.

I guess the amount is based on your family income and all your property, stocks, etc. Maybe that's why my daughter only got $1000. Anyways, thanks for your advice.

If you can afford, go for it and let her study in HK after IBDP.

Anyway, she can apply for other UWC outside HK and she may get more scholarship.

We can afford it but seems like she is worried about our financial situation. My second daughter is going to UK as well. Haha that's a lot for us, thanks to the HK education reform

I have quite a number of friends, who are not particularly well off,  sending their kids to UK because of 334.  

I really don't know what to do with my money - education, buy flats for the kids (or just enough for downpayment) or my own retirement.  

My elder kid is switching to IS this year.  Extra $8000.+ per month.  Yes, thanks to the HK education reform.

I learnt from my father, just provided the best education, other is my concerns and not his. I will do the same to my boy ..... my concern is 慈母(父)多敗兒.....

I guess this table more representative and highlight the average score of HK students vs overseas students.

I always use the HK students' average score as benchmark.
