canada citizen need to apply US student in HK

Hi my daughter will go to US to study and she is Canada citizen, can anyone tell me if she need to apply US student visa from HK US embassy ? as checked on web, when entry US, canada citizen only need to present the I20 & passport then can get the visa at the spot, so wondering if true !! but still have make appointment to HK US embassy for visa....

Did you call HK US embassy? What did they say?

No need to apply student visa for a Canadian.  My son just went to the States.

Do you even need a F1 visa?? Or no need F1 visa?? What exactly do you need?
