我唔熟悉瑪利曼,只知道她是很多家長的首選. 我自己是St Paul's 家長,亦都同意其中一位媽咪所講,入到小學真係唔好以為100%輕鬆上中學. 因為佢既tests 係可以好深, 尤其到四年班以上, 深到相當人數的學生只拿到50-60幾分!佢係唔會勸你自動離校咁殘忍既,但係就會比足機會你重讀又重讀,聽聞有人留班三次呀.

揀SPC定MPS....最緊要由小朋友做出發點....兩間都係家長們嘅心儀好學校

MPS 唔係一定直上 MSS....只係頭果批學生上到....但反過來說.....如果係一間較輕鬆嘅小學....小朋友成績仍然麻麻....放在SPC會否都係一樣??甚或更差??直上中學又是否跟得上??

Yes yes, it's St Paul's not St Paul. I remember the 1st day I entered St Paul's, the sister reminded us "The school name is St Paul's!"
Don't mix up!

St. Joseph's    St. Mary's
St. Francis'    St. Clare's    St. Anthony's

Catholic Schools (even hospitals) are named like this if a Saint's name is used.

我之前識得一個mummy都係抽到marymount, 最後揀番spc.

其實2間都係好學校, 點揀都唔會錯得去邊的.

Dear KK07,

One of my daughter classmate's sister was asked to leave SPC due to her academic problem when she was P2orP3.

When I discussed this topic (SPC or MPS) with one of my daughters' teachers (SPN) this morning, she told me that a number of P6 students (don't know the exact number) who are waitlisted in F1 this year still not able to get any good news from secondary school.  So, "guarantee upgrade" is for those who work hard, but not for all.

Still struggling the final decision, but really appreciate for your comments.

其實中英文也不是太深，如果不是讀教得很淺的幼稚園我想應該ok。至於要唔要補習則很難說，我囡囡因為有太多空閒時間，所以我有俾佢學中英文寫作。

I got only one daughter so she is “首名子女” but I'm not a Catholic.
I won the seat thru the lucky draw system but not in the first round points system, so these conditions can’t help me to get the seat.

This may be a risky conclusion on the "value-add", as 40+% of MSS students came from band 1 top students of other primary schools.  But I agree both are good primary schools that will try to nurture their pupils.

聽講MPS的學生比較囂張, 也有不少富豪名人子女就讀, 沒有St. Paul's 的樸實...

升MSS 機會只有約50-60%, 其他會升小學的頭二,三名, 重要各樣競爭好大, 鬥成績, 獎項,物質(因大多富裕), 大壓力, 大多會到外國升學.

但marymount 比較注重全面發展, 所以生活開心, 不死讀書.
