多吾多家長選擇Repeat P1而來年再重新apply DSS / Private school 多一次?

當來年再重新apply DSS / Private school 的時候, 有冇學校reject 過你申請?

我只知道英華吾接受P1 repeater? 有冇其他學校一樣?

If your kid can achieve good results in P1, why bother to repeat?  You may consider applying for P2 in dss / private schools.

If your kid is average or below, good dss / private schools won't consider.  Then, why bother to change?

If you are target at top tier school, it is good idea to repeat K3 (not P1) to let your son have chance to develop the maturity and self-discipline. And also have 1 more yearto learn more acedemic related stuffs, music instrument or even better training in sports in order to well prepare for very "competitive" environment.

I can tell you a real case from my friend. She sent her daughter to a Band 1 school (not top tier) -St XXX in Causeway. Her girl was born in June but is the smallest in the class. The second smallest was born in March !!!Her daughter is a smart one but others are equally smart but 6-9 months older. Her girl is always at the bottom in everything (including acedemic). Pressure is on parents and her daughter. Then her daughter changed school to Internaltional school. Life is back normal in her family again.  

If you have chance talk to those P1 kids from top tier school, you will be very impressive with their capability and maturity.

Therefore, your decision is depending which is your target school. However, this does not apply to your kid if he/she is an exceptional one.
