想問一問囡囡讀幼稚園上小學嘅百分比同上中學嘅百分比係點？

SPK --> SPCS (Primary): around 80-90%
SPCS(Primary) to SPCS: SPCS is DSS school, it is based on internal exam result to determine promotion.  For reference, SPCS (Primary) has around 200-210 students, while SPCS has the capacity of also around 210 students.

SHCK
--> SHCSPS: 100%
--> SHCS (by allocation)

SHCSPS + SHCS --> SHCC: around 70-75% (SHCC reserved 90% of overall places for own primary students)

如果講直升機會一定是SPK 比較優勝，其實 SPK 也有不少學生去其他 Top DSS 的。

Hi Elsat,

I am very very glad to hear about your good news!  My belief is different type of schools are suitable for different type of girls, based on simply their different personalities and characters.  So your daughter has found the right place for her to pursue her education!  It is very good to know that she has got the SPK offer and so you can finally relax and start make plan for her.

I believe it is a matter of how someone look at the term "直升".

On a probability point of view, it is undoubtedly SPK-> SPCS(Primary) --> SPCS should give a higher probability to finish secondary school at SPCS.  I have done the math and it should give you approximately 80-85% chance by the moment accepted by SPK (or SPN or SPCDN).

And I truly believe many parents would also look at the past experience where some SPK students will apply for other top DSS like DGJS.  So this become a plus to many parents who like these schools also.

However, by looking at it from this angle, it may be easily overlooked of the fact that just a few SPK students may not be admitted to SPCS(Primary) eventually and also not attending other top DSS.  The chance is small, but the important point here is I think from my extensive research on the net, no ones can tell you exactly WHY they are not accepted.

Just a little observation and would like to share it.  Nothing is perfect in this world and as parents we just need to try look at things from different angles and be prepared.

My friend's girl is K3 (SPK) now.  According to her information, most gals can get a place in P1 except a few. As some schoolmates are accepted by St. Paul Co Ed & DGS & etc, these few gals can still get a place in P1 eventually.   Thus, I think if more schoolmates are accepted by top DSS, then, all K3 can get a place in P1.  It depends on the outflux rate to other DSS.

Just for reference, here are the number of students in this year's K3 (Based on previous year's K2 enrollment in EDB):

SPK: 180
SPN: 70
SPCDN: 34

Total: 284

I think minus the boys population there will still be around 240 - 250 girls, but this is just a guess based on parents' input and those grad photos of SPN which I find they have less than 10 boys a year recently.

Compare to:

SPCS(Primary Section): In the range of 198 - 211 in the past 6 years.

Marymount 好好呀！咁可能 SH 會合您心水，我聽聞 SH 的幼稚園是好好的，好全面。雖然 SH 小學中學就冇 St Paul's Convent 咁好。
聽聞SPK 真的不少都考到 Top DSS。因為其實入得 SPK 的小朋友本身都好叻同家庭一定放好多資源給她。情況同 SKH 差不多。
