PCPS --> PCMS?

小兒今年小六，屬band one成績，想為他於自行選多一間為第一選擇，不知如自行不選 PCPS 第一，會否影響小兒第2round统一派位的"直屬關係"？

想請教往年培小 band one 生成功升讀哪些更top的中學？在培小的名次通常要幾前才有機會？(如只計學業成績，不計特異功能約有多少個呢?)

Do you know what other sec school accepted Pui Ching Band 1 students before?

And, in Kowloon City net, do you know...培正中學, 東華三院黃笏南中學 & QE...which one is better?

第一次呈分試是在五年級下学期考試，学校会告訴家長小朋友這次呈分試的全級名次，至于由一至xx名才是band 1, 學校只会大約告訴你頭100名應該屬于band 1.

Band 1 人數年年不同，因要依之前2屈學生的成績。
校長曾說過 PCPS 約有50% 是band 1, 約5% 是 band 3, 其餘是band 2。但保險D估計...100名內就一定是band1。

如確定是Band 1生, 可以兩間自行都選英中(一定是比培中更好的學校)，因Band 1生在2nd round都係先派直屬學位(133個)，派完Band 1先到Band 2, 再到Band 3.

You direct a wrong message totally!

If your son/daughter is being a band one student surely, choices of the second round would not be affected by choices in the first round, unless your son / daughter is accepted by one of the secondary school in first round.
so, assuming both your son/daughter's applications were failed in the first round, they will be allocated to PCMS in the second round if you put PCMS as their first choice in the second round.
Of course, the student's ranking must kept within band one after all three exams for allocation.

Accept all Band 1 students from 直屬 Primary in the 2nd round is the regulation of EDB. The Secondary has no right to say no & it does not affect by whether you put it in the 1st round.

But, as I heard...if you are not Band 1 & not put PCMS as 1st choice in the 1st round & unluckily fail in the lucky draw in 2nd round --> then PCMS will not consider you while knocking door.

I had deep discussionsss with my son, but he reluctant to consider any other EMI in the 1st round & insist only put PCMS only...thanks for ur advice anyway.
now, he only willing to try St. Paul Boy & will have an interview in early March...but what he said is only go to "experience" the interview...no matter what result, he won't consider any school other than PCMS...

So I said you should put PCMS as the first choice in the second round and make sure your child must be in the ranking of band one.

Sorry, I just know many PCPS students didn't put PCMS as their 1st & 2nd choices in the first round. Finally, most of them were allocated to their 1st choice of the first round in July last year.
