Dear Era,

Thanks for your advice. I will try and see what courses out there that are suitable to my son. Does YW start to do English composition in P.1 or P.2? What about Chinese composition? Sorry for all these questions. I want to equip my son a bit better before he starts school in Sept. Thanks a lot!

However, you should ask your boy to read more books as preparation.

To be more exactly, starting from 1st Feb, the boys are asked to write journal in paragraphs and not less than 50 words. They are taught to start with introduction, then the body and conclusion.

We went to the Ying Wa 盤菜宴 last Sat and my sons enjoyed it very much.  The students did perform on stage.  It is noted that YW organized it every year.

Is your kid currently studying YW that's why you can attend the 盤菜宴?

By the way, my company has invitied the drum team of YW Primary school to perform on stage (as my director was studying in YW).  They are excellent.......I also observed that the boys are so well-discipline and full of confidence.

My friend's son is studying in YW now and we therefore went with them as it allows friends and relatives to join.  My son and we are very eager to join YW's function.

Yes, the performance of drum team is very great and see if my son has chance to be part of it in future.

I am studying the kinder for my 2nd son.  
For St Cat's 英普班, does it mean that the teacher will not speak in Cantonese at all?  During the interview, will it conduct in English or Mandarian only if we choose the 英普班?

Yes, teachers only speak in Mandarin & English. During interview, it will be conducted by Mandarin and English if you choose 英普班。One more: If you want to success in enrollment, don't choose only AM class is accepted. You can prefer AM but PM still consider.....

我舊年考既,冇參加過外面既面試班,不過幼稚園老師有教下佢地點樣面試既.

no need to attend external interview class for YW.
But you may need to train him for basic politeness, build up his reading interest.  
I have no idea on the format of 1st interview that conduct by teacher as my son did not mention any.

The 1st interview conducted by Ms Lam require you to read a book (of course not the entire book but just 1 page).  Ms lam may ask you some questions (logically) in which I don't think we can prepare.  

For the 2nd interview (final 300), Ms Lam may test the son's long term memory by asking back the details of 1st interview.
