Sacred Heart accepted my girl's p1 app admission

Dear parent,

I will write a letter to True Light n St. Clare's for giving up the seats of P1 admission.

I m more than happy, n I m so proud of her.  Now, it's the time to choose now.  SSCPS or Sacred Heart? Any advice?

論學費, SSCPS 貴好多!

論workload, Sacred Heart 大很多, 但如果挨得住, 成績有保證.

女仔我會選聖心, 因為 Value for money, 上中學唔會太早拍拖!

Dear fsforth,  I agree with you.  However, Sacred Heart is only half day school which mean I have to arrange the afternoon activities for her.  This may turn out spending more thanSSCPS.  These two schools have their own characteristic.  For kids, I believe she loves more SSCPS than Sacred Heart.  For me, I love Sacred Heart more, and the only disadvantage is Half day school.

我係小朋友都會喜歡SSCPS, international school feeling, 老師好人又多野玩, 有時會去室外上課, 親親大自然, 不過, $5,500+樂器費+lunch+車費, P.4-P.6
一年一次oversea trip,  一個月要八千
仲有可能年年加學費...P.6強制性留宿, 到時月花一萬以上!

學術上因為SSCPS唔會"谷"學生, 只要你個女肯自律, 入SSCPS都可以有好成績, 分別是入聖心是考父母的耐力, 而入SSC就是考你的財力!

非常認同，聖心好考父母耐力，因為聞說得返一半學生可直升自己中學，平均分少過某個分數（大概88.X之類都頗高的分數），肯定升唔返；同一時間，私立部每班人數甚多，而學校課程又教得好快，好多時都要靠父母跟返足．如果錢同distance唔係問題，做聖士提反的家長可能會無咁辛苦．

By the way, both SSCPS and SH are good schools. But I'll prefer SH as I like traditional schools.

I have already given up some choices..

now, SSCPS vs SHCS..... (we'll soon get the DGJS result too)

My gal likes SSCPS so much.... she tells everyone she chooses St. Stephen already...

My daughter is accepted too.  Very headache to choose between Good Hope School and Sacred Heart.  We live in West Kowloon so both schools are more or less the same in terms of distance.  Both are traditional Catholics school with similar branding.   Can anyone advise how many students are there in each a.m. class?

小朋友睇過 SSCPS 既 VCD 就多數會好喜歡間學校, 只計校園生活, 同聖心比真是一間渡假生活, 一間要做朝8晚11忙過不停, 家長角度一定想value for money and result oriented, 如果你真係選聖心, 最好同個女講清楚, at least, 要有心理準備.

My daughter is now studying P6 in SHCSPS.  I keep on hearing people saying that SHCSPS has much homework and heavy workload.

I would like to say that this is not the case from my experience.  On average, my daughter has only two or three assignments per day so she can finish them within an hour.

Regarding the half-day school matter, my daughter has her extracurricular activities in weekday afternoon so that we can have our family time on Saturday and Sunday.

I can see my daughter and her schoolmates having smiling faces.

Dear ellylau,

Honestly, I dare to let my girl to watch the VCD of SSCPS since I m afraid she insists to go to SSCPS if she watch the VCD.  

For DGJS, I have given up already since I believe the chance is really too small for me to have a hope.  

Actually, I was graduated from SHCS, n I was so scare to do homework too when I was at that age. From my memory, every schoolmate are very smart and clever, but not very nice. We were proud of to be "ST Sim Mui", but we were afraid of teachers (maybe respect) We had so many awards, yet we practice n practice n practice.  

I do not know whether SHCS has changed or not since it was long time ago. I believe SHCS definitely is a good school, but I like the characteristic n culture of SSCPS. The most impt of all, my girl is really not that hardworking type.......

Dear Sunglasses,

Both ar definitely good schools.  However, I learned that SHCS seems like having a higher branding than Good Hope.  Friend of mine have two daughters studing in Good Hope n she said the grading in Good Hope is declining n it's not as good as previous. (Don't know whether is ture or not).  If the travel distance ar same, I may prefer SHCS.  PPls said it's really hard to get in if your girl is not a kinder from SHCS.

唔通呢兩年小得咁西利,之前都同我朋友交流下,我聽到佢由小一開始到三四年班....都有五六樣一日..跟住呢兩年都唔得閒同佢傾呢d..而家咁輕鬆?

SH係非常傳統的修女學校.
AM SCH 頭100名入SHCC, PM SCH 頭80名入SHCC.

你呢個數字係穩入...仲有band2果堆好彩未計...下午班去好既學校(包括sh中學),約有百二人
