2nd interview咗等消息: 女拔
唔收或者waiting list: 蔡繼友
大抽獎搏一搏: 瑪利諾
準備2nd in (但應該唔去): 九龍塘
其他未in (但應該唔去): 宣道, 聖心, 德雅

自己睇返都覺得報咁多間好似好過份, 但報嘅時候真係驚個女一間都考唔到(因為佢平時比起其他同學一D都唔算叻), 所以决定大包圍, 辛苦晒阿女…. 媽咪爹哋真係以你為榮.

(相信每一個經歴過子女升小一嘅父母都會以佢哋子女為榮!!!)

起初都驚報得少，一間都唔收。
宜家睇返暫時結果都ok啦！
不過覺得最可惜英華冇2nd in(仔仔超鍾意間學校)

我個女似陪跑一族, 所以有得2nd in以上學校已很開心.我也不敢揀太多top的小學, 怕她面對多次失敗, 打擊自信.
要女兒應付5間小學, 很不容易.
所以我很佩服考很多間小學和難考小學的家長和小朋友, 你們真的很用心.

She's in Can/Eng.
To be honest, we have put effort on her (like others parents), but really not that much.
Maybe the interview class helps.
I still personally think all kids are about the same, the thing you need to sucess for an interview is mostly "LUCK"

Our son who is studying in the Essex Campus is accepted by (as of today):

啟思小學
崇真小學暨幼稚園
啟基學校
九龍禮賢學校
聖若瑟英文小學

We were also lucky enough to have a 2nd interview with Principal Ms. Chan at 聖保羅書院小學. However, our son was being too creative in answering at the time and he was not accepted.

Regarding interview skills or not, I think it is not just luck but more on how we as parents raise our kids.

i.e. We have an active lifestyle and we enourage creativity. Whenever we are free, we will play golf, run with him, swimming, kung fu, drama, music, singing, lots of trips, visit library/museum/bookstores etc. we also appreciate the little boy's opinion on all things and we allow him to speak up to other adults all the time. This is why in our opinion, he get great result when he was being interviewed by the so-call "happy & active" school.

BTW, we do not believe in interview training as the kid will become unnatural and will only answer questions by script.

Anyway, good to share and good luck in the search of the "best fitted" school for our kids. Listen to your heart and don't let the brand name or the number of applicants cloud your decision :)

其實每一位家長在這幾個月EQ 真的高了很多..‧包括我自己...眼看St Cat 有很多家長放很多時間給小朋友..是藉得有好結果的. 我自己只報了好幾間

ST Fran    - fail
蔡繼有 - 2nd  int  ( wait )
女拔 - 2nd int ( wait )

雖然兩間 fail ,女女在我心中已贏了. 預祝各st. cat 小朋友入到適合,心儀的學校啦!!

I strongly belive that all parents do lots of practice with their kids. Those things you have mention above (maybe not all, but mostly), all of the parents are doing it with their babies. In this case, well, I still belive that you still needs LUCK to
get in a famous school.

Since everyone got lots of certificates in their children portfolio now a day, school won't take much attention to those training course cert. or english test cert. I think some certificates of winning different contest will be more useful.

Agree that contest experience  (not only prize) benefits kids when they need to cope with interviews.

BTW, anyone can tell what's the name of St. Cat's principle? thank you.
