啟思小學 2010/11已被取錄小一家長請報到!!!

交了留位費, 起碼保証個女就算大抽獎抽到十幾志願, 都仲有間唔錯嘅學校讀先. 但老實講, 仍然非常期望女拔, 德望, 蔡繼有, 聖方濟各, 九龍塘等最後結果.
最好緊係大抽獎抽到Maryknoll就最好啦, 就連細女三年後都唔駛憂!

Actually, I aimed at this primary school when my boy was applying kindergarten.  

He is now studying in Creative primary's kindergarten, and have a great time.  

So, last 2 months was no stress for me, cos kindergarten's pupils are guarantee for the P.1 (unless that is a problem child, but the primary teachers will go to the kindergarten and check how "problematic" the kid is)

雖然我囝囝唔係啟思幼稚園讀書(因為我住得遠, 但又唔想佢細細個就坐長途校車返學), 但係由佢k1開始我已經睇中左啟思, 我相信我囝囝應該會係呢間學校讀得好開心.

Just to drop a line that we have also registered our son at Creative Primary School. Maybe our kids will be in the same class next year.

Hey, the govt result has announced.  How many will still be in CPS next year?

Since I was educated in the "happy/action/project-based" IB type school in Canada", I am a firm believer in the IB framework and the curriculum being offered at CPS.

We believe in CPS abilities to officially obtain the IB World School - PYP status in upcoming years. Therefore, our son will still be registered for P1 next year.

Every kid is different so please choose the school according to your kid's feature and your value of "best-fitted" education framework.

Dear all,

我是一位啟思家長...想在此同大家分享一些經歷:
阿女由K1-K3響CPSKG過了非常開心,充實o既三年...
P.1時...只考了一間直資中小學校...幸運的被取錄了...心想的是:學費便宜一些又是活動教學...都很好啊...
但我仍是很喜歡啟思的教學理念...故仔仔仍選了在CPSKG讀K1...今年已K2了...
上年的女女...P.1...在那學校...過了不太愉快的一年...心想再這樣下去...11年的抗戰將會很痛苦...於是今年9月...在女女的要求下...到啟思考了P.2插班試...幸運地報取錄了...
從10月起回到啟思小學...從那天起...一切都改變了...女女每天都笑盈盈的放學...漸漸主動地做功課...現在還十分愛看書...常常提著學校的趣事...還多了分幽默感...看見她三個月來的進步和快樂...即使學費貴一點:;pppp:...都是有價值的...
經過之前的經驗...我感到孩子在快樂下成長及學習...真的很重要...
如果家長能因應孩子的性格和能力...選對了學校...孩子便很幸福了...
祝大家都能考上心儀的好學校!!

Thanks very much for your sharing. CPS accepted my son and CPS is my first choice.   For now, I'm still waiting for the lucky draw but I will bear in mind of what you have shared with us.

Can you tell me more about the school?  I want my son to get into the orchestra, shall I start to train him now? apart from the school fee, can you please list out the misc fee?  Did you give any extra English lesson for your girl?  Thanks a million!

其實學費都要六千幾一個月,但無乜雜費law...
視乎需不需要撘校車和訂學校的午膳...啟思是自己kitchen煮午餐...係健康餐,有老火湯,紅米飯,水果等...
至於英文...我女就無特別出去學lu...因為無乜時間...hehe,佢只有學游水...我寧願佢多D時間睇下書,玩下...再大D課程深D就無乜時間玩gar la...
明天起在校學圍棋...訓練下耐性同思維...
學校0既普通話教得不錯...好多家長都覺得好...可以不用出去學...有廣東話/普通話班選擇...我建議選普通話班...可令小朋友寫作時會較少口語化情況...

選校最緊要乎合孩子性格及家長認同之教學理念...無一間學校是最好...亦無一間是最差...只有適合/不適合...我只希望孩子快樂,正面,有自信...無想過要考第一或要求拿得最高分...看見她在進步便可以了...

啟思對孩子比較包容及循循善誘...學校相信每個孩子都是獨特而唯一的...這裡的孩子會較有自信及良好的自我形象...EQ是課程之一...學習欣賞自己及別人...處理情緒等...在我心目中比起科科100分更重要ar...將來面對社會更有優勢...

How would you consider the secondary school option with your girl, can you share some of your thoughts?

I am considering the school as well, not certain about the secondary school connection or options, please based on your experience give us some advice...

My daughter got offered too as I want to know if their primary is mainly for Chinese, is it a problem to approach IB in diploma ?  

Can you share with me more ?
