Got an interview invitation email from SJS on 20-11. My son has offered an interview in Jan. It will be a group "play"style interview.

Same here, is your child in Cat 1 or Cat2?  As my kid is in Cat 2, the KJS letter already mentioned that will be put in the waiting list even having a successful interview.  So it's all by luck to get in to KJS.

My son is Cat-2 and studying in a non-ESF kinder.

19/1 that's quite early, wonder why suddenly more interview places coming out now

Hi Cocobean,

Got your PM, I think I'm just going to answer it here.

According to the lady that called late Friday afternoon last week, "there have been some movements", those are the exact words she used. To my understanding it means that there have been some people giving up their applications/interviews, so they are now offering more interviews, but she said we are only being interviewed for a waitlist place. As she said, it will at least move us a bit closer.

In any case, AISHK has already accepted my son for their prep class in the coming January so the EFS schools (RC and CWBS) will only become our backups in case we don't like AISHK for any reason before August.

Hi all parents, my son will be applying G1 next year, and I'm just wondering if apply ESF primary, how many ESF primary schools I can apply at once or I can only choose one primary from their list? Thanks for helping

You don't get to choose which school you want to go to. You will just send your application to the central ESF office and they will assign you to a school according to where you live.

The only exceptions are Renaissance College and Discovery College, which you can apply separately.

Would U mind to tell whether your child is in ESF kinder ? Cat 1 or 2 ?

non-cantonese speaking family is also Cat.1, such as Mainland China, Taiwan, Thai, Korean, Japanese, etc. In the other word, only Cantonese family is Cat. 2.

That why there are so many Cat. 1.

My child is Cat 2. He got accepted by WKS kinder, but just I didn't go for it in this year (he will be starting in K2). So does it means I can also apply ESF primary and also RCHK?
