PIPS ( KLN ) or Victoria ( Harbour Green ) playgroup ?

I am planning to do a school tour later in the month, will let you know my thoughts after the visit.

My friend told me that the teachers at PIPS have more heart, but the syllabus is not very comprehensive, so when kids go to atten kindergarten interviews, I am worried that they may not be competitive enough.

Is that true?

My daugther is attending PN at Learning Habitat now. She had attended playgroup in PIPS & YMCA before. PIPS's playgroup is good. The teachers are nice and the class is well organized. My daughter learned how to clean up toys, line up, discribe the weather, sing several English songs... after attending the playgroup for ~1/2 a    year.
Why she did not stay there for PN is because most of their graduate will go to international schools and that's not our aim. But if this is your aim PIPS is good. Even her playgroup classmates were very "international" Germany, French, Japanese, Korean, Taiwanese....

我女女兩個playgroup兩個都上過，pips似幼稚園，維記自由，最重要睇下你想BB要什麼。我個女自由慣，所以pips能教她規矩，最後我上了兩個月維記，便只上pips呢！

local class , max 28 each class(2 TT: 1 chinese, 1 english)

hi kyuen,

1. Kowloon station PM class
2. CBC
3. the teacher is from Beijing
4. Library time.... the children get to go to the library to borrow books and read. Then music class where they go to another room to dance and sing.
5. you have to attend a Term (sept-Jan), (Feb-Aug) to get a cert.
6. no my daughter is not attending any mandarin class.

LH --- you can apply at anytime now. Must pick up a form from the school office. Their interviews will be in March 2010 for 2010/2011 PN class.

They have open house in October 2009.

我個仔今年四月份入左VICTORIA讀,讀左四個月就冇讀.因為仔仔唔喜歡.冇錯佢地只有8個小朋友一班而且班房亦比PIPS大.但因為佢地大有規則所以根本小朋友學唔到啲咩.英文老師全都是中國人教的一啲都唔好好死板所以我個仔都感覺到.後來番去樓下PIPS讀是外籍老師佢地講的唱的都好自然好有愛心雖然是迫左啲但我仔仔聽足老師講.所以我都好開心我冇諗過两間學校有咁大對比.一間佢可以完全唔坐定定唔聽.只會扭計及訓覺.一間會聽足全堂及坐定定.所以師資是好重要小朋友是知道的.

我今日終於都quit左victoria,有咩理由話1 month notice, 但前日佢地就有個信封俾我地要15號前交cheque ( 交下個月既學費 ), 我緊係彩佢都傻, 我個女係讀到9月30日 ! 即係前後上一個月 ! 仲有英文老師成日都提早兩個字下課, 真係不知所謂, 又悶又亂 !!!佢一d愛心都冇, 求其教就算 ! 我唔會幫個女報pre-nursery & k1 !!!

而PIPS個MISS真係好正, 好有schedule, 返1 & half hour, warm up, play toys, 點名, weather time, singing songs, outdoor playground, tea-time, art & craft time, stroy time, 好充實 !! 我個女都好like @@

佢到左 18 months, 我會幫佢轉 2 hours playgroup, 係加多左 half hour 既國語, 都係呢個MISS教 @@

Some update for you.

my son has attended 1.5 hr X 2 days PIPS play-group, and starting from Sept 09, we move to 2 hr X 3 days.  We meet Ms Cherie again ... she is really nice and class is well organized.  After we join 2 hr class, we have 15 min Mandarin Class (2 days/week) and 15 min Music Class (1 day/ week). We have another teacher comes from PRC for Mandarin Class and another local music teacher.

My daugther is currently in Ms. C 's pm 2 hour class. 3times per week... we atttended her class since Jan 2009.... However, the only thing I don't  like right now is that our class is relatively small. We only have 5 kids (including my baby ) in the 3 days pm class. I wish we have more.....

Anyhow, I love it and that's why I don't mind to travel from Tsuen Wan to PIPs (Kln) 3 times a week.

Are you all planning to send your kids to PN class at PIPs??? when is the application for 2010-2011???

是啊!MS C'S都好好架,因為我個仔出外玩時會碰到你教個班都會一齊玩,笑的好甜.但我就未諗住幫佢轉三日一個星期啦!我諗會出年先.而架教我個仔個MISS 叫PREETI, 我諗佢應該是新上任的.但都教的好好,唱的歌好好聽.

我女讀緊pips pn 班：有校車搭，要買$20000(本地班)$50000(國際班)債券，退學才有得退。

i have applied for their PN class already, you may download the form or get it from the campus.  They are first-come-first-serve basis.

anlywan, Miss Preeti 在pips教開 pre-nursery, 佢好有經驗, pips話佢以前係耀中教過... 只不過 miss preeti想冇咩pressure下教playgroup.

yes, miss c's 笑容好sweet, 我個女都好like佢, actually我都好like佢, 真希望9月快d完, victoria仲有5堂就上完, 快d上完就專心返pips !!!
