May be it is time considering sending kids to US. the 334 fits more the US system. There are lots more good uni in the US than UK.

To prepare for US uni application, one has to sit for TOFEL, SAT and AP. From last year, students can sit for AP exam in HK. AP is useful for uni admission process and AP grades ( 4 to 5, where 5 is the highest) are accepted as credits in US uni.
I understand why in the past UK education is so popular in HK. It is partly due to the perfect matching of two systems (HK and UK) and partly due to the fact that a lot of civil servants have subsidiy from the government for their kids for UK studies (up to 18 years of age).
Thus for those who send their kids overseas around 18, they should think seriously for US as well. |
