瑪利曼v.s聖心(下午)都收我女,點選好?
因要交註冊証,請大家幫幫忙,比d意見,兩間都是好學校,真是難決定.

其實瑪利曼與聖心都是很好的小學，各有各好，也不是一面倒推舉瑪利曼，有家長應為瑪利曼P1-P3較輕鬆，但到P4要突然發力對某些小朋友有一定困難，而聖心則在學業推進上比較平均。近年瑪利曼也只有六成學生可原校上中學，我朋友的女兒在前年在瑪利曼也未能成功原校升中，要另找私校升中。
坦白說，近幾年很多就算有直屬中學的小學，她們學生可原校升中的比率一直減少著，她們另取外來的叻學生以便可提高全校的成績。另一實例：華仁去年原校升中比率只有「五成」。

不過~應該都會揀瑪麗曼,因為全日既

聖心唯一唔好就係半日,同埋星期六都要返回學校,
唔鍾意這點~

不過,好似大家講既都有一點需注意就係升中部份,
因為升唔上去,都係一件大件事,
真係唔好以為小學去到好學校就真係光宗耀祖,
真係要剃自己小朋友讀唔讀到~讀唔到都辛苦,

Marymount = good + free of charge + good environment + more guarantee for secondary school.  So I will vote for it.

If you have a choice, better choose a primary school with a good connected secondary school.  Otherwise you will be very worrying in the next 6 years.  Though nothing is "guaranteed", there is no argument that there will be less pressure on the child and parents if the primary school has a connected secondary school.

Btw, pls make up your mind and release seat to others on waiting list.  It is understandable that the parents on the waiting lists are worrying now.

* I vote 聖心 primary school. *
1). I have a friend's daugther just finished the Marymount primary school last year and can't continous study in their secondary school. Her daughter really doesn't like her classmate, cause they are not very friendly and selfish,  they gave her hard time always. Finally she chose the Victoria Int'l school in HK side. She has very happy school life in this school now.
2). If you choose 聖心, your daugther have more free time learn something out of school. According to the  internal information (I have friend work in this school now), 聖心has more balance on academic teaching and can able to train up student's independent thinking. Other than that, the school will offer around 90% guarantee to the first priority of their current student. That mean you don't need to worry in applying another secondary school.

MY relative was the P6 of Marymount. She could not make it to the secondary. She 'd got A's in every subj except 65% in maths. There was absolutely no support from Marymount for my relative to go to apply for other schools, even the vital reference letter(not recommendation letter)was not provided. Another girl who got all 'F' grade in p1 is allowed to P2 instead of repeat to p1. I don't know what is the management is thinking.

我係岩岩收到通知,都要盡快決定,亦都不是hold住個位唔比人,只是咁岩得咁岩的,
如果又咁岩有兩間好學校同時收自己個女,而且都要交註冊証,想hold都唔可以hold好耐,你都唔知我是今日先收通知,
點算是hold住唔放比人,想一想也是錯的嗎?
在這裡話人*自私怪*此言不雅,希請這位家長慎言,我們的孩子會以我們為榜樣.
祝你小朋友也能入到心儀的學校.

2間都有直屬中學 ( 聖保祿中學及嘉諾撒聖嘉書院) 2選一, 邊間好?

May I know which kinder did you daughter study?
The most outstanding result for public exams in Maymount sec school is English lang. You may  also take a look on their strength of other subjects for reference.

yes, many schools are like that.

但係下午班今年好似只收40人左右, 相反上午校就大部份收晒, 所以一樣好大競爭.
不過樓主既囡囡考得入插班, 成績都應該係好好, 上中學呢方面一定唔洗worry.  所以我都會揀Marymount.

My friend's daughter also could not stay in MMS. Her result has many A except Maths(72). I think you should think of your daughter ability;otherwise, there will be a big trouble six years later. Be careful to think of long term planning. In my opinion, I vote for 聖心!! Their secondary allocation is very good though. .....It's true, release one of the them ASAP for the other parents...Sorry to remind you that again.
