Drain似有完全倒出來既意思.唔啱請指正.

最簡單的英文

點解呢 ?

an MTR train ?? 而不用 a

a university ??  而不用an ?  不是a e i o u前都是用an嗎 ?

生字或字母凡 用Vowels (元音) 開始的都是用 an作冠詞。

參看這裏可以看到二十個元音的音標

M 字字母的發音是 /em/ ，開始的 /e/ 是 元音，所以如果單說 此字母便是用 an 作冠詞。


而 U 字母的發音是 /juː/ ，開始的 /j/ 是 輔音，所以如果單說 此字母或生字 是用 /juː/開首發音(如 university)，則是用 a 作冠詞，


umbrella/ʌmˈbrel.ə/ 的開首 /ʌ/ 是元音，所以冠詞用 an 。


26個英文字母中有 12 個是元音首發音，有興趣可以查看字典，逐個捉。












有錯指證，不喜勿插。
(後四字係最近在bk學到，有意思)

我仔有本綀習係講 simple past tense的, 內有一章咁寫 .

The simple past tense can describe a habit which stopped in the past.  We ofen use "always", "often", usually", "never", etc, or "when I was a child " in the sentence.

e.g

The woman always carried an umbrella.

I never drank wine.

但亞仔話佢哋英文老師教 :

always , usually, offen的詞出現時, 動詞應用現在式.

咁我再查看其它語法書都係咁講.


咁是否代表個本綀習的講法是錯誤的呢 ?

又請指教.

eg

He never forgets his wallet.

因為係past 的often 所以係past tense
例如
Helen ofent fell sick when she was younger.
We alswys discussed with one another when we were students.

而present tense 既 often 同always 係現在的often 所以係用present tense

阿女教落有一招, 我吾知係吾係一定岩, 但你可以參考下, 佢話, 如果第一句, helen often fell sick when she was, 見到個was 就知道前面係用過去式而吾係present tense

而如果見到一句句子係past tense, 而用左did 既話, 係did 後邊就一定係present tense.

找錯處 :

正确係

Eric did not have classes yeaterday.

我當時係諗第三名稱後的動詞應該是用 has無錯呀, 但一時忘記咗要用原動詞, 就如 does一樣.  如果佢係其它動詞我是明白的.
