2010年小一入学

我想请问下知不知道, 今年有没有2010年小一入学的简介会?  因为在学校网上找不到这资料, 而其他一些直资已经派表了.

That's right.  There's no Briefing session before application.  The ONLY Briefing session are for those admitted candidates or candidates on 1st batch watiting list.  In the Briefing, the school principal is not hard-selling the school, but just to make an introduction of the school so as to let parents make the right decision before formal registration.

Would you please let me know the general attitude for this school, both the teachers and students.  Are they belonging to "hard-working" ?

小一第一個月有中/英默書,10時上牀,第二個月有興趣班約一小時,希望約11時上.

I think this really varies among children. My son is now in S1. He was in bed before 10pm throughout  his primary school life.

About 74+-1 out of the 88 SPCPS 09 graduates went to SPC.  

This year, a visible change is that there are two Form teachers for every S1 class.  It is either the school is putting more resources in Form 1 to prepare the students for NSS or it is a response due to last year's Comprehensive Review.  Anyway, it is a welcoming change.

Apart form still managable homeworks and reasonable demanding teachers,  water melon ball game is my boy's daily school ritual and he enjoys exploring different lunch locations near the school.  The boys even had water polo class in that somehow small swimming pool.  And the boys from JC mix well with students from other schools.  

So far so good and the boys are looking forward to the school teams' selection results.

Thanks for yr update of SPC.  Glad that your son gets along well in SPC!!!

My son is P5 this year.  Last week, I attended PTA AGM + 升中派位講座.  Ms Chan, the prinicipal, announced that it is quite likely there will be a 脫鉤 in SPC.  That means, SPC will strike itself out from 升中派位直資學校list, and it will follow the step of St. Paul Co-edu by accepting graudates of SPCPS directly into SPC without undergo 派位.

The final decision will be made by Nov this year, according to Ms Chan.  

Hopefully, all SPCPS students who attained good pass in major subjects ("Good pass" is the criteria of entering SPC) can go directly to SPC!

小兒是SPCPS小六生,都想了解多些中學的情況,
請問中一中文科是否用廣東話教學?中二就有兩班用普通話教?
在SPC網上見到每班英文科都有三個或四個老師,是否會分開小班上課?

對唔住, 我有點唔係好明, 係唔係如果真係脫鈎, 咁中學部會直接收晒小學部的學生?  變成所謂through train?
