Hi Ian,

Glad to learn your happy ending.  Your little princess will enjoy her school life at SH then.  

I got a pink letter with am offer for my BIG girl... like dreaming... hard to believe.   Now I start to think about how many of us will be rejected to P1 3 years later.   So more challenge to come.

Thanks very much the information about SPCS you provided here.  They're very useful.

My angel got accepted.  Like a dream for us since we are both working parents with no religious background.  BTW, if anyone know if there is a school bus from TKO to SKP??  Thanks.

Hi rtam,

I am so happy for you about the good news!  Don't worry too much about what will happen three years later.  Just enjoy it now and the fellow parents at spk will plan together on how to manage the other preparations when needed!

Congratulations!  Really happy that many parents do get what they want.  And your efforts should be highly regarded!

i received blue letter - rejected. 0611 bb, may be they not prefer small b la~

講真,雖然知道機會好少,但收到確認REJECT都幾唔開心,因為我覺得阿女個日表現好好,沒有哭......

事實上我考左4間,得一間收,仲要係下午.....SPK : reject; SHKG: reject; SMM: reject....

現在很煩惱究竟應該讀銅鑼灣靈糧堂 (下午)定係小西灣迦南 (上午), 因為各有好同唔好....


靈糧堂
好: 出名 (對日後報直資小學可能好一些),活動教學適合阿女好動性格, 有"請聽我讀"培養小朋友自我讀書習慣

不好: 下午班,沒有了午睡,同時間安排不好,對成長都有影響

迦南
好: 上午班, 阿女一直讀緊N1都好好,課程較深

不好:沒有名氣,好似對日後升學沒有幫助....


請問各位有何意見?

幸運地收了小女下午班, 06年2月出生, 家住東九龍, 父母偕工作, 無背景, 非天主教徒. 面試時間大概為早上九點, 一樓.


回想當天面試時, 老師只向我們發問了一個問題, 沒回答完就給老師有禮貌地叫停了, 所以從沒想過有任何機會, 連通知日期也忘了. 收到通知時實在意料之外.


基於我們的條件及面試經驗, 我十分相信SPK是以小女當時表現來決定的.  當然出身日期也可能是(唯一)優勢.


希望我們的情況能給其他有興趣投考的家長作為參考.

Hi ,你個女都係讀緊小西灣迦南? 我地都係呀, 會唔會係同學仔, 我個女係黃組, 我都聽人講迦南比較深, 但我個女08年11月開始返學, 我又唔覺好深, 佢返屋企都讀得出學校教既字卡.
其實你會唔會考慮出年比佢再考spk呢類學校, 如果會就讀返迦南都ok, 我都出年或者都會再試一次, 其實N1咪當playground比佢玩之嘛, 讀幾多年KG都唔係大問題, 最重要佢將來得到好既RESULT, 可能我覺得我個女返學好開心, 所以比人話咁細個要佢讀書係殘忍我都無理會

囡囡0610仲要係10月尾出世, waiting list

收到冇feeling, 因已給真光hurt左一次, 當時老師係好直接咁表達, 好懷欵囡囡係咪剛識講野, 係咪仲講疊字, 結果係reject

但最後幸運地被聖心收入上午班, 因為面試時間又比真光遲了兩個月, 兩個月表現差別很大了, 而且真光還算是第一間去面試的幼園, 我們整家人可能都未適應

每間學校的收生政策都不同, 所以不用氣餒, 如果真是很心儀, 下年可以再報, 細囡有細囡優勝的地方

我剛巧也住小西灣, 這兩間幼園我也曾考慮, 如果原區升讀, 我不覺得靈糧有優勢, 除非你有一個灣仔地址, 但這又跟幼園沒有關係, 迦南我囡囡也在讀n1, 派的幾十張中英字咭, 都全試讀, 每天也唱很多學校教的兒歌, 也很喜歡返學,如果你也在讀, 應好清楚迦南的情況, 若喜歡靈糧那類的教學方式, 可試試上書房, 我去過面試, 各方面感覺良好, 缺點是校園細

My girl was accepted for PM class, and she was born in apr 06, and I just wonder about the percentage for getting back to P.1, what are the chances? is it very seldom that the existing SPK and SPN student couldnt go back to Primary session? this is my concern since I got accepted ftrom Pui Ching that they guarenteed that kindergarden student will definitely go to Primary session, thanks for any comment:)
