International Schools in Thailand?

Hi,

We just came back from our vacation in Phuket Thailand.  On our flight back, we met a lady from Hong Kong who came back from visiting her son in Phuket.  The boy goes to Dulwich College in Phuket while both the parents live in Hong Kong.  I wanted to find out more but then the plane landed.

I know Dulwich College in UK is very famous and its sister schools overseas also have good reputation.  But, what are the perks going to IS in Thailand versas those in hometown (Hong Kong) or North America/ UK?  Since the family are in Hong Kong, going to IS in hometown (Hong Kong) is convenient and keeps the family intact.  Going to IS in North America/ UK offers unique life experience, language opportunities, etc.  

But, why Thailand?  Any thoughts?  Thanks.

I think that school fee difference between UK and Thailand of boarding school.
If they send one child to UK for one year, the cost will be at least HK$250,000 to 300,000/ year. If they send a child to Thailand , it will be HK$150,000 per year under the same school .  They are boarding school too. The school campus is very big and beautiful. The shcool is run by same group of orgianization.  The teachers are also come from England .
IN Hong Kong, there is no internationl  "boarding "school.
