how to teach your kids to tidy up the toys?

how old is your kids?  how do you teach them to tidy up the toys?

we started to teach our baby to tidy up... since he was around 1.

how? just let him help to put the little things inside the bags... ask him to put it back before getting another toy/book.
He is now 21 months, will get only one crayon from the box.  Put it back then get another.

u try to tidy up the try with MUCH FUN, and then try to tidy up together

my girl also started since her 1yr old, when i sing' now is time to tidy up , tidy up...." ,she did it automaticlly, now, she will tidy up after her finished.

give more encouragement... don't always give exceptions or give up easily

1. start as early as possible to build up at habit. my boy started that since he could crawl and also hold the items, around 9 months.

2. do it with him in the early stage to set eg.

3. make it fun! w/ songs, etc.

4. with proper encouragement

5. most importantly, clearly advise maid/grandma........ anybody else at home that tidy up is the kid's job n he has fun doing it.

6. be consistent. don't stop when outside home (e.g. church's babyroom, playroom, your fd's home, etc)
