你們怎樣培養小朋友自行閱讀?

我想請教大家，你們伴讀，是媽媽讀字還是讓小孩子讀字，很多時我的兒子也不太願意自己讀。

Also agree with FM that TV is no good for kindergarten students. Reading should be the best. ORT is a good start too. As my son will go to primary school next year, I'm just thinking to let him try some chapter books. Just started magic tree house. Actually, I'm still searching and trying to learn form BK mums here. I  know there are lots of great mums who spend plenty of time on reading with their kids. I  may need to bring my child to the public library then.

BTW, congratulations to FM that your child can get into the top school of the town!

My kid got a set of "The Magic School Bus" (Scholastic) as an advance Xmas present.  He loves it and is very keen on reading it by himself.

Anybody knows the level (i.e. suitable age group) of this Scholastic series (a total of 12 thin books, each with a focus on phonics such as short a or long i sounds)?
