Regarding no. of applicants, I think they have about 800 instead of 1,000+ because I sent the application form on the day before the deadline  and my no. is 6XX.   Though it seems that this school is not as popular as SPCC / DBS..., I found the teachers and school head are dedicated.  I got the offer too and will think seriously whether we should give up the lucky draw.
did any one know the school hours?  I start to think about the way to bring him to school...  
I also worry about my poor PTH can't help my son.  Any one got good PTH tutor or great Chinese subject tutorial school, please advise.   I worry my son can't catch up in P1.

well, I got the acceptance letter tonight...
However, I am also concerning if I should give up the lucky draw as our first choice is St. Jo ... and we are waiting for St. Paul Boy.
Not sure if we should take chinese P or English P... although I am fluent with all 3 languages but doesn't mean my son can cope...
Any comments?

Very happy that we've got the acceptance letter too.  We will surely give up the Central Allocation for RC.  I'm sure RC is a good school and has a good headmastress.

It's a kind of release now, no need to worry about his primary school any more.

Hope to meet you parents in RC later.

I am agreed with you, PTH is very important on their education.  上次面試時老師對我們說由p.1開始便以普通話教中文, 所以她問我們對三文兩語的睇法.

FYI, St. paul boy's 好似係由p.3才開始用普通話教學(heard from bk)和小一至小六都是以中文數學(confirmed by st. paul boy's).

This is a hard question for us, last night my hb and me very happy when got the result from SFA.  But...

RC is my hb and my son's first target
SFA is my first target but I also felt RC is a good school.  

So....... no answer at the final.

Yes, I understand it's really difficult to decide. Even, I am struggling if I will attend Sacred Heart's interview end of this month.

However, I am sure I will register RC. And, hope to see you in RC.

Ling Nam is my husband first choice.  But I just think that RC is more famous than Ling Nam.

How can I convenice my husband to take RC rather than Ling Nam?

As RC primary is a private school, can their students join the Gov't Central Allocation in P6? How many of the students can get a seat in RC Secondary?

I know it's quite hard to make decision.  Did you ask your kid or visit the said schools, ask his own opinion which one he likes, coz he is the one enjoy the school life.   

So this sunday our program is school visiting.

Yes, RC use PTH as teaching medium in Chinese.  Besides, they teach Maths and GS in both English and Chinese.

Most students promote to RC Secondary school (around 80%).  Some of them with good results go to Kings, St. Jo, etc.  You can get the secondary school allocation report from their website.

Obviously, academic level of RC is higher than Lingnan and RC Secondary school is better than Lingnan Secondary school (band 2 /3)

Also, you should not struggle in choosing between RC and Lingnan, you should consider whether it is worth to give up central allocation if you belong to Wanchai district, in other words, make choice among RC, Wah Yan and St. Jo.

From my perception,if you put Lingnan as last choice, you can still have chance to study in this school as the competition to this school is small.

Thanks for your info. The office lady in RC advised that the English and PTH teachers are native speakers. Could you please confirm if this is true as this is important to assess their language standard. Thanks.
