今年據報都有over1千人報考.  新校舍當然好仲要係彎仔中學好好tim, 不過一定要座校車/媬母車呢.

Don't know why i still can't receive any letter from RC.
Anyone are in same situation?

Just an advice. If you still can't get the letter tonite, get the application no. and call the school to check.

As I know, many people already got the letter regardless accept or not. Good luck to you!!

2008 is HK$2,350 per month.  The fee for 2009 will be announced before summary holiday, i.e. around June 2009

It's good to hear that many parents are interested in RC.  I've got the acceptance letter last night.  My elder son is also studying in RC (P2).  My experience with RC is good.  Teachers are not very pushing but still working hard to get good results.  Languages are important.  They teach English half year higher than the class e.g. P1 students study 1b and 2a english books instead of 1a and 1b.  Let's see if we could meet each other in RC.  Cheers

my girl is accepted but i'm struggling whether or not to give up the lucky draw because it's only the 2nd year to accept girls.  do you know the approx. ratio of boys vs girls in P1? and, how do you feel about girls' school life at RC?

I have a private PTH tutor who teaches my sons once a week.  I believe my son's standard is quite ok as he speaks quite well and comments from his PTH teacher is also good.  Don't worry too much.  We, as parents, can always help a lot especially on primary stage.  They won't be on their own to study and learn.  Having said that, if your kids are very independent and self-disciplined, you don't need to do much and be with them would be more than enough.

First of all, the design of the campus is for both boys and girls (unlike the old campus).  Don't worry about the toilets.  Most of the teachers are female and they are experienced teachers.  As far as I know, teachers seldom quit or never quite.  This year (the first year P1 with girls), there were around 15-20 girls, they are allocated to two classes (there are altogether 4 classes in each grade) so that girls are getting together easily and happily.  Sorry that I could not share too much.  I can only tell by my observation at school.

Thanks for your sharing.

I talked to the teachers before the interview, one teacher told me that 8 girls each in one class (total 2 classes). She also said this year there were more girls applied for 2009/10 P.1 and the school intends to accept more girls to make it more balance.

I brought my daughter to the girls' toilet on the ground floor, very good condition and big enough.

Does anyone know the class size in P.1?  My son has got the offer but I am struggling whether I should give up the lucky draw or give up RC.  I think the English standard is good in RC but I am not sure whether my son's Chinese level can also be kept.  I think I can help his English but not Chinese as there are not many good Chinese tutorial class outside school.  If I choose a school with Chinese as the MOI, I would choose Lingnan or Bonham Road Government School.  If English & Putonghua, I think I would choose either St. Louis (smaller class size) or RC (co-ed).
